$300 will buy you a real instrument! Why not do that?

Well, I tried to make a cigar box guitar, but then I took it to a Tom Waits concert, and exchanged it for information on breeding dragons. It wasn't all a waste though, I realized I don't have any real talent when it comes to musical instruments, but I can push buttons with the best of them.

As a side note, Red Octane made a tuner so people could fine-tune the intensity of their drums. http://community.guitarhero.com/forums/55708/forum_topics/131841 it requires a 30 dollar midi cable, but if you are shelling out for the game and want to get it setup idealy for you, then that may be your best option. I havn't had any problems with my drum set, hell, everyone who's used it seems to enjoy it, I plan to get familiar with it this weekend.

I tried to play guitar hero like michael j fox in back to the future at the school dance. It was a pretty big fail and I looked like a drunk person who fallen being a douchebag versus actual guitar play.

I have ben quotes as saying " I playd like i was disappreaing form the picture", and ther was much rejoicing.

What a kick in the sack. No wonder why everyone hates Activision. When Rock Band was having peripheral issues they let people send their broken instruments in and sent brand new instruments back for free.

No, you can send it back too, but this is for people that don't want to wait or really fine tune the system. The thing with the drums is you can attach them to a midi system so some people seemed to already have the cable. Personally, my drums are fine, so meh.

Anyways, how do you like GHWT?

I am enjoying the game a lot so far. I never played Rock Band 2, I played RB 1, and I think the game play is about the same. I am more familiar with the little circles on the charts than the little dashes that Rock Band had. I am a big fan of the guitars in GH, and I wasn't at all happy with RB's guitar, the feedback the strum motion had really frustrated me. Hearing that little "click" from the GH guitar really helps me with those long strings of the same note.

I do think there's some issues with hammer ons and pull offs, but I haven't gone through the tutorial yet to see if they changed them, but there's been several where I just hit the note expecting it to pull off and I miss it which is sort of frustrating.

Oh, I should've read more into it

I'll just get GHWT for my bday since I want a new guitar and I really like their new one.

And actually, the post I linked says this:

If using your own MIDI interface it should be possible to tune your drums, however, as we have not tested the software with all available USB MIDI interfaces, there is a chance that your changes may not be able to be saved. If you are using your own USB MIDI interface to address sensitivity issues you have encountered and experience this issue with your USB MIDI interface, please contact www.activision.com/support and we will send you a drum controller tuning kit at no cost.
So I assume they are going to include the tuning kit in the future packages. I am going to request it just to fine tune my drum set if I find something in the future that annoys me.

edit: yeah, I just filled out the form, they are sending the cable and software for free to me.
