Rutgers Scarlet Knights (official troll of PedSU)

This is what I hate about these also-ran B1G schools.

They try to block a punt and get angry when it doesn't work in a game that's effectively over ... and then blow it against junk teams like Nebraska the next week.
Said the same thing, why not try that crap on the less talented teams where it probably has a higher chance of succeeding.

If he tried it in the 1st Quarter, I wouldn't have an issue. I might think he's a bit daft, but I respect the gamble.
However, he tried it in a game that was over.
Then got mad that the punter made a good call and picked up the first down. Then tried to murder our punter. Then created a sideline incident -- coming over to our sideline to start a fight.

That whole fiasco made me lost a measurable amount of respect for Schiano.
And to top it all off, they proceed to no-show the following week against an opponent they should have beat easily. Typical.

The Knights of the Raritan name, image and likeness (NIL) collective plans to announce that every member of the Rutgers football and men's and women's basketball teams — including walk-ons — will receive an NIL deal in the 2023 calendar year, ScarletNation.com reports. The massive deal comes as “as a result of the collective’s funding, and complementary efforts of supporters, donors and the corporate community," per the announcement.

“The Rutgers University athletics programs and fans are embracing the new and exciting world that is college sports during the NIL era,” said Jon Newman, President of Knights of the Raritan. “This announcement puts RU at the forefront of this landscape, and provides partnership opportunities for the athletes involved with the Rutgers football, men’s basketball, and women’s basketball teams. We want to express our gratitude to our members and donors and we’re excited to work with every Scarlet Knights varsity sport on differentiated deals. This commitment also allows us to expand our member benefits as we enter our first full year of operation.”

Knights of The Raritan states on its website that the collective "was created for all student-athletes that represent Rutgers University" and that it aims to "provide those student-athletes with the resources and opportunities they deserve during their time On The Banks." The collective further states it was "formed to provide innovative ways for student-athletes to earn experience, develop philanthropy and benefit from compensation while at Rutgers University."

I don't see this happening but I'm here for it.

Worse Rutgers teams have hung with Michigan in 2020/2021, it's still hard to see them winning in Ann Arbor though. IDK about "Really good" either though. They are better than last year more than likely but They've played 3 tomato cans and didn't pull away from a awful Virginia Tech team until the 4th quarter last week. This is the 3rd year in a row Rutgers has started 3-0. We will see what that really means on Saturday.

Rutger's DBs will cost them.. as will their QB
but their RB Monangai will surprise folks... very similar is size and ability to Corum

Yea Rutgers can run the ball (including the QB) but it's a big time adventure when they have to throw. Wimsatt is only completing 51% against the 3 bums they've played. He's liable to make a couple of crippling mistakes in this game.

Last year Rutgers lead at half time against us 17-14. Michigan stopped fucking around after the half and outscored them 38-0 in the second half.

Rutgers has a decent rushing attack. Their QB isn't accurate though. I expect to see more Corum and Edwards. Plus, Harbaugh will be back. Shuffling these coaches the first few games and fucking around with cupcake teams is finally over.

I expect similar this year. Rutgers looks better and can probably hang a bit longer but Michigan will end up grinding them down and winning by 3 scores late. Game could get really ugly quick though if Michigan stuffs the run and Rutgers has to throw early and often. I'm sure Harbaugh being back will give them a boost. They definitely were sleep walking through the first 3 games.

Will be interesting to see how Michigan's Oline does against a competent Dline though. Wasn't overly impressed with the unit those first 3 games.

We lived near the Rutgers campus in the early 2000's; one night we were driving through it and stopped for pizza (I think, it was dinner nonetheless). The guy went on to explain it was the STD University capital of the country.

I don't know if it is true, or that it has any real significance to any conversation. But, there it is.
Just as a side note; in the 60’s the joke was that Mirror Lake - lake, that in itself is a joke - but I digress, Mirror Lake was the world’s only rubber lined lake.
