S Anderson Russell (official thread)

The best thing is that we wont have to play much nickel the rest of the season with teams on the schedule being predominantly run oriented. That sumbitch diving into Russells legs needs his ass kicked and how!

Since Washington has one side of the field locked down and Chekwa taking names on the other, I think we'll be all right but Anderson is one we definitely don't want to lose. I feel for the guy, he just gets done rehabbing a season ending surgery and the guys takes him out on a cheap shot. BS!!

god..the thought of oneal playing any important snaps in the biggest games of the year..make me sick...move jenkins to safety and play chekwa at corner...keep oneal on the bench

Don't sleep on Aaron Gant--he can bring it.

all i have heard is tresse's comment that he rolled an ankle and it wasn't too serious...now that can change come next week...but it makes me concerned having oneal on the field playing important minutes..esp down the stretch..i have no faith in oneal...i guess we will see a lot of oneal, gant, lane and jenkins in that spot

Well, that's encouraging. I think Gant and Patterson would challenge O'Neal for minutes.

A high ankle sprain sounds serious to me. I doubt he only misses one game but man would it be great to be wrong!

If it is indeed a high ankle sprain it's not too serious. I mean, it's serious because it's an ankle injury and those tend to linger, but I suffered one of those playing in the playoffs last year as a freshman. It kept me out for two weeks, and then I came back full-strength.

And that is without the millions of dollars the OSU athletic and medical department has at its disposal.
