Game Thread San Diego State Aztecs at tOSU, Sep 7, 3:30 ET, ABC/ESPN2

Honestly, I think Wisconsin is in a much better position than us as far as this whole goofy "pre-season" ranking goes. First, because, it gives them a chip on their shoulders (look how under ranked we are). Secondly, if they win by 10 or 50, it's a win and they're going up because there are teams above them that will have lost, they won, so they're automatically going up. Third, you have a much smaller target on your back when you're ranked lower. I wish we would have started off ranked around 15 or 20 and then had a chance to work our way up. Ah well.

With the stigma of Big Ten Quality, being ranked 20, means 18 teams need to lose before you can be high enough and some of them will have to lose more than once. (unless you're happy with any BCS bowl)

I don't think we're going to get any real love in the poll's until we play Whisky and NW. I do think we need to blow them out, or we risk dropping more.

NW got a bunch of love for having the brawn (according to the Big Ten Network) to go on the road and play a "very dangerous" team in Cal. So, hopefully a convincing win over the Bears to the tune of 2-3 touchdowns will give the Bucks some boost in the ratings.

Here's the way I see it.... If we go into the bowl season as one of two or fewer undefeated teams, we will be in the National Championship game. If there are more than two undefeated teams, I believe we get left out.

Cal is a "very dangerous" team, until they play Ohio State. Then they'll be the worst team in the Pac12 and there's no reason that game should've been scheduled. Ohio State should play Alabama every week of the season!!1111234!!1

And then ESPiN can simulate this Ohio State team against the Cryami teams of the 80s, Nebraska of the 90s and ZOMG Bama of the 2000s1!!!!!!!!@@@#!@!#!@#!@$231t042ut06 247[06b3 78[-5ug
