Saturday Superstitions ... Game Day Prep

Probably TMI, but I don't wear blue, purple, green, yellow, orange, white, or black underwear on game day Saturdays. My family thinks I'm nuts.:osu:

This is the attention to detail that allows Kenny the power to come in against Purdue. Of course I wouldn't encourage wearing any of the first 5 colors on any day of the week.

2 traditions.

one, seagrams seven and seven. lots of them. start out with a cup of seven up on ice. take a sip. add seagrams. take a sip, add more seagrams. never add more ice or more seven up, just add liquor. by the end of the game it is just pure liquor with a little bit of spit and delicious.

two, socks mode. when the bucks need good luck and we are in a tight spot, we go into socks mode. similar to the rally cap, but with socks on your feet. the sock must be below your heels but still on the foot to be in socks mode. works great.

If I'm at the game and tailgating (drinking) with friends, it's all fun.

However, if I'm not there, I'm in a pissed off mood and snapping at people (not good). I'm back to normal after the game, or when the game is obviously won. I don't know why I'm this way...I just am.

I have to go for a long hike or run or whatever to get some pent up energy out and force me to drink some serious water before game time. Woodford on the rocks during the game so I just get a good buzz going plus I tend to ignore food and drinks during the game anyway. Then I switch up to cheaper alcohol and eat like a horse post game.

I get up and do yardwork or something outdoors. If its a night game I may go fishing. This year I'm back into coaching and our games are Saturday mornings. I don't believe in superstitions, nor do I like to imbibe during important games. The late night PAC 10(12) game is another story. I've never watched Stanford sober.

Season/Game day prep.

Apologies if this is a repeat, but I DID look as far as page 2 and didn't see anything.

We kicked off the season here in sunny Ukraine today with a scrimmage.

The day began with a hefty breakfast of home fried spuds with red peppers, topped with bacon & sour cream.

Later in the morning I put up all my Buckeye paraphernalia and this afternoon the hot blond and I sat back to watch the 2002 NC game.

Tomorrow am I'll whip up my "victory breakfast" of sausage gravy and home-fries.

What's your game-day prep?

Lets giterdun!!!!

GO BUCKS!!!
:oh:
