Pete Carroll says Russell Wilson has a 'badly sprained' finger, won't put timetable on quarterback's return

Willson left Thursday's loss to the Rams early in the fourth quarter

Russell Wilson has never missed a game in his NFL career, even though his streak of 149 consecutive starts may be in jeopardy. Wilson, who left the Seattle Seahawks 26-17 loss to the Los Angeles Rams Thursday night in the fourth quarter, was diagnosed with a "badly sprained" finger, according to head coach Pete Carroll.

Just sayin': Currently Brett Farve has the NFL record for most consecutive starts for a QB at 297. Tom Brady is actually on the top 25 list 3 times: #10 with 112, #11 with 111, and #21 with 80 (still active).

I think we're seeing the beginning of the end of Pete Carroll in Seattle. His success is pretty much entirely tied to years with Russ at QB, and it's questionable how much longer Wilson will be playing for Seattle.

Geno looked good last night.

And not so good on this night:

POLICE: GENO SMITH TOLD OFFICER HE HAD 'A LITTLE D***' & THREATENED COPS... During DUI Arrest

Geno Smith was allegedly a huge jerk during his arrest on Monday ... with cops saying he threatened them and even told one, "you have a little d**k."

Washington State Patrol officers spelled out the allegations in new police documents, obtained by TMZ Sports, claiming the Seattle Seahawks quarterback was combative and argumentative with them through much of the process of his arrest.

In the docs, cops say they pulled over Smith at around 2 AM in King County -- just hours after Seattle finished beating the Cardinals in Arizona on Sunday -- after they claim they clocked his Rolls Royce going 96 MPH in a 60 MPH zone.

Officers say Smith was also driving erratically and changing lanes without signaling ... and during questioning, they say he reeked of booze.

Cops say Smith told them he had consumed wine before getting behind the wheel -- and then became upset with them during ensuing field sobriety tests.

In the docs, officers say Smith argued with them ... and eventually decided to stop doing the tests altogether. That's when cops say they arrested him and took him back to the station -- where they claim he made a comment about a cop's penis size.

One of the officers wrote in the docs, "I joked with him about how my wife thinks I work too much. Somehow he said that's because 'you have a little d***.'"

"I said, wow, maybe that is the problem, then he said you have a little d***, 'you have little d*** syndrome.'"

Colin Kaepernick reached out to Seahawks, Pete Carroll about NFL opportunity

Will Colin Kaepernick make a return to the NFL?

At least one head coach believes he will.

On Wednesday, Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said that he spoke with Kaepernick, who told the Super Bowl-winning head coach that he is interested in playing quarterback in the league once again.

Carroll said that Kaepernick may or may not get that opportunity in Seattle.

"I don’t know if it’s here. I don’t know where it is. I don’t know if it’s even in football. I don’t know," Carroll said. "People get a second opportunity in their lifetime ... and they can make the most of it if they’re ready for it. I don’t mean to send out any mixed messages about that. But I wanted you to understand that that’s how serious this is. It’s second chance time."

During the offseason news conference, Carroll spoke about players getting second chances in the NFL. And he felt the need to mention that he had recent contact with Kaepernick, who led the San Francisco 49ers to a Super Bowl appearance back in 2012.

Kaepernick hasn’t played in the NFL since 2016.

Kaepernick recently posted on social media saying that he was looking for wide receivers to throw with. Seahawks wideout Tyler Lockett responded and ended up meeting up with him and caught passes from the former NFL QB earlier in the week.

"He contacted me the other day and said, ‘Hey, I’d like to get a shot. I’m working out,’" Carroll said. "And so he sent me some video and next thing I know he’s working out with with Tyler Lockett. I don’t know how that happened."

WARREN MOONI DOUBT KAEPERNICK GETS 2ND NFL CHANCE... Owners Don't Want Him

Despite Colin Kaepernick's recent workouts, the chances of the QB getting signed are slim to none ... so says Warren Moon, who tells TMZ Sports he doubts NFL owners will give the ex-49ers star another shot.

"I just don't know if he's going to get that opportunity," the Hall of Famer said earlier this week. "I just don't think the NFL wants that subject back into the league."

Kaepernick hasn't played a down in the NFL since the 2016 season ... but he's been itching to get back ever since. And, he's amped up workouts recently with the hopes of finally getting a call this offseason.

"I just don't know if he's going to get that opportunity," the Hall of Famer said earlier this week. "I just don't think the NFL wants that subject back into the league."
