Shane "LLLL" Morris (Former ttun Backup QB, transfer to Central _ichigan)

I got to watch Iggy's defense in action against Mentor tonight, and they'll make a lot of good opposing QB's look bad. Trubisky had a solid night for Mentor with the exception of a goal line interception that would have made it a one score game in the 4th quarter with Mentor having all the momentum. Still, he was a one man show against a very good Iggy defense and they were in his face all night long.

Now, I don't know much about Shane's team but you'd think an Elite 11 finalist going to Michigan would have had a better game than that. Good Qb's can handle the pressure and find a way to make at least a few plays. Trubisky did it tonight without much help.

Toughness & heart is not measured at the Elite 11. Trubisky has plenty of both.

From above link:

Damorria Lilly and the Warren De La Salle football team overpowered Dearborn Fordson for the second year in a row on Saturday night with a 40-19 victory at St. Claire Shores Lake Shore.
De La Salle (2-1) took control of the game in the second quarter with a balanced offensive attack, and led 26-13 at halftime. From there, the Pilots relied on its running game and defense to carry them home in the second half.
Lilly finished the game with a career high 227 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries.

But I thought Morris had to do it all on his own?

Thanks for the laugh.

Seriously, I am happy the rivalry has sparked such a thread .. the kid is a serious talent, flame all you want.

When is it a flame to point out when a player stuggles while playing a real game and does well when he doesn't have to face a pass rush in 7 on 7?

This is a Buckeye board. Flame might not be the word.

I've seen this kid play and I haven't been overly impressed with him either. Should be fun to see us go against him.

In all fairness, the kid is talented and has plenty of tools to work with. How he performs in games has not really reflected that yet and I am not sure he has the best talent around him (if someone could fill me in here please?).

Either way, "The Situation" is easily my least favorite recruit :wink2:

:

Which raises red flags when he will be asked to lead a new offense with Devin Gardner and Jeremy Gallon as his primary weapons, possibly without Taylor Lewan.

His talent is obvious. Some want us to only evaluate one part of his performances.
