Shaq to Kobe - "How my ass taste?"

OH10;1191169; said:
And there it is. The guy rips on everyone, including, but not limited to, Penny Hardaway, Kareem, Ewing, Tim Duncan... and no one ever calls him out on it.

Even if he were the greatest big man of all time (which he's not), that fact alone doesn't give you cart blanche to rip on everyone else. Humility is not a word that has ever been used to describe this fat, lazy, over-the-hill POS.

I'm not a Shaq fan at all (check the Suns season thread) but this was funny as hell.

I generally agree with your opinion, but not here. Probably becuase I dislike Kobe, a lot. It's fun to hear the guy who won him all his titles rip him in a written "freestyle". Not to mention, I can;t remeber Shaq ripping Kobe for ratting him out about "paying women to keep quiet". I was wondering when that would finally come out and it finally did, and in an amazingly funny way.

he didn't say anything to demean anybody but Kobe. stop acting like he said Patrick Ewing was awful and meant it.

Yeah, he only brought up Ewing and Kareem in reverence... :roll1:

For Shaq (or you for that matter) to even insinuate that he didn't mean what he said is an insult to people that think.

Glad to see he had that farce of badge finally taken away. What a joke that was.

But from the media and everyone else, Shaq continues to get a free pass...

OH, I think you're taking what he said way toooooo far.

It's the equivalanet to every rapper claiming to be the best of all time. It's part of hip-hop....build yourself up, take others down.

He probably does feel like he's the best, but to rip him for a freestyle/rap verse is a bit overboard.

So dissing kobe is cool, but what he said about everyone else doesn't mean shit? Don't get me wrong, I think it's funny. I probably think it's funny for more reasons than you guys, this is a guy who lead the Lakers to three championships who last year bashed the organization and this year does this, who's basically wants to be known as a player for the Heat rather than the Lakers in regards to where his number is retired. I also think it's funny that Shaq looks like a total douche who's crying 4 years after the fact while Kobe just stays quiet and gets ready to go to the Olympics. And last, I think the rap is funny shit, and it's bad but it's got a catchy beat that gets in your head. Today I was fixing a guys home computer for him and looked after I was done and busted out with "tell me how my ass tastes" as I was walking away.

It's not part of what hip hop used to be. It's a part of what hip hop has become - which is why I stopped listening to that vitriol shit a long time ago.

Does "Rapper's Delight" ring a bell? Put Rap music on the map and there's plenty of self-loving in that song. Hip-Hop is about ego and self boasting. Always has been and always will be. What is boasted about changes with the times.

And yes Kobe is going to be quiet.....what is he going to say- "Yes I wanted Shaq out of LA, yes I told the police 'why am I being arressted, Shaq did this with girls all the time, he just paid them off to keep quiet' and yes, I will probabaly not win another championship in my career unless another susperstar is brought to LA".

Shaq got on the mic and had some fun. Do you really think Patrick Ewing and Kareem are stewing mad over his stupid rhymes?

The whole rap was entertainment, not just the parts ripping Kobe.

Hrm, you're right, I mean the Lakers only win a championship one out of every four years, so odds are he's fuc... err wait? He could show he's young and reply or he could take the high road. I understand you hate the guy, but I have started flame wars on forums many times, and I will tell you, if you call someone out, their manhood is challenged, now consider you are in the business where compeition is your life?

All Kobe would need to say to set this fire is "Huh? Shaq was on the Celtics? I never saw him hit the court, I guess they just played their younger (Or good, or Guys who could beat us, etc...) players."

Well let's see, the year you get traded you call the owner of the Lakers "one of the worst sports owners" 2 years after that you call out the entire organization for how you were treated while making 28 million dollars a year, given permission to skip practice and won three championships for being incompetent, and this year you call out the current superstar and one of the best centers to play the game, yeah, I am pretty sure Kareem isn't happy with the comments.

I'm confused by this comment. Kobe hasn't wona title since Shaq left but Shaq won a title in Miami with a worse team than what he had in LA.

Kobe aired Shaq's dirty laundry to the world when he told police "he didn't understand why he was being arressted, Shaq used to do this all the time, he just paid the girls off." Was that the high road? Shaq has taken th ehigh road on this situation for years. Kobe has taken a beating behind the scenes amongst the Hip=Hop scene for years, yet I don't remeber Shaq saying much directly about it at all.

He was bitter and his ego wa shurt. He brougt LA 3 championships and was then shown the door in favor of Kobe. I don;t disagree he handled it in a poor way, but LA didn't treat him very well after delivering the 3 titles. For reference, Shaq's championship numbers vs. Kobe's during the championship runs...

1999-2000 vs Indiana Pacers
shaq 38ppg 16.6rpg 2.3apg 61%FG
Kobe 15.6ppg 4.6rpg 4.2apg 36%FG

2000-2001 vs Philadelphia

Shaq 33ppg 15.8rpg 4.8apg 57%FG
Kobe 24.6ppg 7.8rpg 5.8apg 41%FG

2001-2002 vs New Jersey Nets
Shaq 36.3ppg 12rpg 3.8apg 59%FG
Kobe 26.8ppg 5.8rpg 5.3apg 51%FG

2004
Shaq 26.6ppg 10.8rpg 1.6apg 63%FG
Kobe 22.6ppg 2.8rpg 4.4apg 38%FG

Shocking that Shaq felt like LA was being disloyal to him???

Shaq has a huge mouth, and he isn't always funny. He isn't th eplayer he was 10 years ago and he is lazy.

It doesn't change the fact that his rap was funny as hell and there was a lot of truth in it. "Kobe can't do without me!!!".
