Sound Off !!! - Introduce Yourself

Hi ladies and gents. My name is Paul, as you can probably guess. Born just outside of Valley Forge, PA and moved to the South with parents at the age of 10. Lived in several southern states, mostly NC, but spent two years in Canton, OH (1999-2001) before moving to AL. Look forward to the interactions leading up to the Sugar Bowl and may even drop by at halftime of the game to check on the mood here...

Hi all. I'm a longtime lurker of over 10 years. I can't think if a better website out there and I'm not sure what I'd do without it. Decided to sign up today and I'd like to donate what I can immediately to get a nifty banner. If someone could PM me the details on how I'd go about that, I'd greatly appreciate it.

My first OSU experience was ushering football games with the boy scouts when I was 11 Years old. I got to watch the 1995 home game vs Notre Dame from the old Ohio Stadium track. I was hooked instantly. I was there in the front row end zone bleachers to see the 56-7 at the half pounding of Iowa and Eddie's game against Illinois. I was at the 2004 TTUN game when Ted Ginn returned that punt for a TD and it was as loud as I've ever heard a stadium in my life. I had a front row seat in 2008 against TTUN to witness Sam McGuffie get knocked into another dimension on a kick return. Nowadays I try to make it to 2 or 3 games a year. But when I'm not in Ohio Stadium, I can be found lurking these boards.

Edit: So I found where/how to donate. I guess it takes a few days for money to transfer from my bank account to paypal. I signed up for it a year or so ago to look in to purchasing some tickets to the game against TTUN but never used it. I should be able to donate after the money lands in my paypal account.

My name is BamaOldtimer and I live in Texas but grew up in Alabama. I look forward to playing the Buckeye's. I have tickets for the game. Those who have never been to New Orleans are in for a treat. It is the greatest city in America to host a sporting event. All hotels, restaurant's, bars etc. are within walking distance to the stadium. My only advice is not to wear sandals, crocs etc due to all the puke, piss etc on the streets in the French Quarter. It will get betwee your toes. I wish all my Buckeye friends safe travel and hope for some spirited, good natured bantering before the game. Of course I hope Bama wins, but if we do not, please beat Florida State or Oregon.

Roll Tide, Go Bucks and Merry Christmas!

Hi, my name is Tim from Kent, Ohio and joined (2) years ago to be able to download a torrent IIRC. Before I make my second post in the 2015 Sugar Bowl thread thought I should introduce myself first. Started following OSU football on a regular basis in 1968 and have a vivid memory of their 13-0 upset of Purdue w/Leroy Keyes. Also, their 50-14 defeat of the team up north late Nov. Remember it was a balmy day as I listened to the game outside on the radio. And, of course, the Rose Bowl when USC scored a late phantom td to make the game close.

Not so much a diehard fan anymore, but did watch the entire championship game this year from start to finish. So I guess I have to watch the Sugar Bowl from start to finish, eh. If I was still a true diehard fan would have known before last year's championship game that MSU quarterback, Connor Cook, attended my high school, Walsh Jesuit. Mike Vrabel also attended Walsh. My mom graduated from St. Mary's in Akron, which merged w/St. Vincent in 1972. So I can say my mom went to the same hs as LeBron James.

I digress ...

The Sugar Bowl thread is somewhat entertaining, even some of the trolls lol, so I decided to join in after this post even though don't have much time to blog anymore.

Go Bucks!

My name is Altie and I'm an Alabama fan. It's great to be here; I had never heard of BP before a couple of days ago. This is a nice message-board and seems like mostly polite people, although some are kind of territorial. :-)

I look forward to learning about some of your team's better players and interacting with the fans here. The first person I'm going to look up is this Joey Bosa player. Bosa this, Bosa that, his name is seemingly in every post. Is he a senior?
