Sound Off !!! - Introduce Yourself

I am ADDICTED to the Buckeyes - my license plate is UMSTINX

I am 40 and grew up in Chillicothe, OH. Both parents graduated from tOSU in the 50's - myself in '86. I have obviously been a lifelong Buckeye fan and bleed scarlet and gray. I now live in NW Ohio where I practice medicine. Have been lurking for about 6 months or so and especially enjoy the Recruiting Commentary. Not a very frequent poster due to time constraints but BP has become one of my favorites and I surf here daily. Keep up the good work!

I am a life long Buckeye fan from Cincinnati. My uncle graduated from tOSU and some of my earliest memories are of my dad and uncle taking me to the Horseshoe...Due to finances I was unable to attend tOSU and recevied my degree from the University of Cincinnati. (please don't hold that against me...:( )
I have been to more Buckeye games and events then I could even begin to count. I bleed Scarlet and Gray despite my degree from another institution...

...like I said once on another board....

It is a God given right of every citizen born in the Great State of Ohio to be a Buckeye fan...some choose the path of evil while others embrace the subject of their state pride.

That is how I look at it, any way.

Go Bucks.

Guess this is as good a place to break my virginity on this board as any. Grew up in Englewood Ohio. Left in '83 for a scholarship to Brevard College, at that time a junior college. First time from home, discovered all the bad things that you can discover from the good morning bong hits to skipping class to play quarters. Those habits landed me in the navy for four excrutiatingly long years, got out, went back to school and played hoops at Cedarville University. Have been a lifetime Buckeye fan, but between the two years of college in North Carolina and more time spent down there in the service, have also became a huge fan of Duke basketball. Have been very fortunate the last few years as my "second father" is a member of the Huntington Club, and he needs a companion on game days so I have gotten to many games. Not sure I can ever sit on one of those benches again, as I am now spoiled. Have a lovely wife of 13 years and two great kids, including a 7 year old son who swears he is going to play football at Ohio State and play MLB. I can honestly say,as I am sure most of you would, that I am not sure my heart could stand that. To this day I well up when the band takes the field, and the thought of my little man playing there.....well, how great would that be? Hey, I know the odds, but we can dream, right? Look forward to being part of this board.

I grew up in eastern Ohio and was fortunate enough to get a scholie, attend OSU and graduate in 1988. What an awesome experience. I'm a Buckeye for all seasons - no Ohio State football, (insert hoops power here) basketball fan - I bleed scarlet and gray year round.

Was married but have suffered some losses of life in recent years so I'm 40 and totally unattached, but living life in NE Ohio and enjoying it as much as possible. Running a $10 million dollar biz with 200 employees keeps me hoppin' but I always make time for my Buckeyes.

Go Bucks!

Born in East Liverpool, Ohio but moved to Georgia when i was younger. I have been a Buckeye Fan at birth. My God-Father and great uncle played for the Bucks in 49 when they won the Rose Bowl. My Grandfather was recruited by Ohio state and other Big 10 schools for track, unfortunitly, he knocked my grandma up. Father went to school at Ohio state for a little while and i have had several family members attend the University as well. I never played football even though it ran in my family. I stuck with baseball and played some college ball in south georgia. Got several hand written letters from Coach Todd but i was to stupid coming out of high school so i had to stay close to home (damn me).I am currently trying to finish up my degree at North Georgia College and I will hopefully get a chance to get my masters degree at The Ohio State University.
I bleed scarlet and grey and i shit maize and blue!!

I've been a lot of places around the internet looking for a great OSU community to get involved in, and finally I've found one. I've only been around for two days, and already I know I want to stick around and contribute in whatever way I can.

My name is Laura, I'm 23, and I work in Graphic Design. I graduated college in 2003 (in the worst job market for College grads ever) with degrees in MIS and Bus. Adm., minor in Comp. Sci. I did graphics on the side as a hobby throughout college, and ended up continuing my hobby as a career.

Beyond work, I'm a christian and a wannabe artist, writer, and general computer geek. I've been a Buckeye fan as long as I can remember, casual at first but more rabid as I grew older and appreciated the game of football more. I learn something new about the sport every time I watch a game; my parents were primarily baseball fans and most of what I know about football I learned from watching and dissecting Buckeye games. I've never been to a game at the 'Shoe, but I'm doing my darndest to get there this year! I'm currently drinking in every article and thread from the web-wide sports sites (except E-SPIN of course), enduring this off-season as best I can. This coming season will be a special one...I'm sure of it!

In the past two weeks I've met both The Nuge and Jim Tressel...two VERY genuine people in the spotlight and wonderful ambassadors for our program. This is a very content (and very lucky) Buckeye fan!

I really look forward to getting involved in this community. This site is really something special.

far away but not forgotten

grew up in fairborn and graduated from high school in 1977 (love that 70's show btw, boy can i relate :) ), after numerous changes of mind/changes in majors i received my bs in pharmacy/bs in biological sciences in a short? 9 years. lived in columbus for those 9 years and for 6 more after graduation before i moved out to spokane, wa where mom's family is from. miss the buckeyes and game saturdays like crazy but havent missed a game since i moved out here in 91 due to espin/directv. i'm sure i am not the only one but god i get even MORE worked up over watching the bucks squeak out those close wins now than i ever did in college; good thing my brother in law is a dry waller cause my foot has made a few holes a needin patchin.got a chance to fly back with a friend to see penn st first game as big ten team at the shoe and later took wife back to see her first REAL college game (20,000 fans freezing their asses off watching wazzu play is fun but not quite the same). not a big poster obviously but this is my ONLY source of buckeye news so i log in daily to read up. btw when i was in school there was a stud wrestler named mike d'andrea from bay village i believe who had almost urban legend status among the matt junkies; is our mike d'andrea his son by chance. my hats off to the all of you big time posters just cut us newbies a break if we happen to do or post stuff that makes your teeth grind, we are newbs after all :)

Hello fellow Buckeyes! Since I was raised right, I've been a Buckeye since birth. Grew up in Eaton (25 mi. west of Dayton), graduated from Ferris State (yeah, same school we play in hockey) in '85. Robbed the cradle 9 years ago and got married, we have 2 sons. the "Nightmare" part of my moniker is for my younger son - that's his nickname in football - plays middle LB like Spielman! (and only in 1st grade!) We live in Kettering.
I work for GE currently, but am hoping to start a business soon in the golf industry. I am a Christian, a former golf coach, and a current Youth league football coach. I can still run the 40 in less than a minute, and i have a 9 inch vertical jump (OK, 6 inches!)
I started browsing the various Buckeye web sites a couple of years ago, mainly Ozone and BN. I was VERY pleased to see BP come into existence, someplace to be positive about OSU w/out the doom and gloom and negativity. I look forward to sharing some thoughts and good-natured barbs with the members of BP!
My first OSU football game was '73 - i still remember my dad taking me down to the tunnel where the players were gathering to go out onto the field. I couldn't believe people could be so big! First games I remember watching were during the '68 season, so you could say I was definitely spoiled from the get go and that Woody is one of my all-time heroes (as well as Archie)

I think it is Mike D'Anna from Bay Village your talking about. Three time State Champion 1974,1975 and 1976.

During the same time as D'Anna's wrestling, the Heavyweight State Champion for 1975 was Robert Golic- Cleveland St. Joseph. 3rd place went to Tom Cousineau-Lakewood St. Eds. Just some info..

Greetings From Razorback Country

Hello ALL!

My name is Troy, I'm 22, happily married, and living in Western Arkansas.

BUT..

I bleed scarlet and grey!

I grew up just south of Findlay, Ohio and went to tOSU for 2 years before transferring to Bowling Green for my final 2.5 years. I've been an OSU fan my entire life. Can't exactly remember the defining moment though.

I got married at 21, and after graduating from Bowling Green in December, my wife and I moved to Arkansas where she is from. I've been taunted for not rooting for the Hogs, but I will never give up my roots and my Bucks. I proudly sport my hat and shirts whenever I can (to go against the Hogs and Sooner shirts I see everywhere), and my license plate it Ohio State. Just letting everyone in Arkansas know who I root for...

Glad to join the boards. I was encouraged to join by OilerBuck, my best man in my wedding, and the craziest Buckeye fan I know!!

Glad to be here

Born in Xenia, graduated from Greenon High in 1980 and Ohio State in 1984. Always been a Buckeye fan and got really hooked when Archie, Pete, and Corny were playing. I have been in the Air Force since graduation and serve as a Deputy Group Commander at Malmstrom AFB in Great Falls, Montana. Alwyas spread the gospel of OSU wherever I go. Got hooked on this site when my old first sergeant- Mililani- told me about it. We were assigned together at Hickam AFB. I love to hear insight or just opinions about what is going on at OSU. Keep up the good work.
