Sound Off !!! - Introduce Yourself

I appear to be a procrastinater as I have been using the numerous benefits provided by BP for quite a while yet am finally taking the "introduction" plunge. There may even be a very remote possibility that someone reading this recognizes my username (or has absolutely nothing else to do!!) Anyways I became a Buckeye fan (officially & permanently) back in late July of 2007 when my nephew (Surrogate son) made his verbal commitment to JT. I had managed my nephews recruiting & gone on his tour of college visits for several months when in late March of 2007 we came to Columbus. We left with one (of many) favorable impression which sealed my nephews fate & future as a Buckeye student athlete. This impression was the quality character of the coaching staff + the players we met.....we left with a feeling that we had already befriended these people for quite some time. Comfortable & without any pressure we knew this was the RIGHT choice as we headed back to the Chicago suburbs. Knowing this made the next (4) four months checking out other college programs a mundane, time wasting & repetitive process that only provided confirmation of the obvious (yet highly anticipated, debated & speculated) predetermined conclusion to become part of Buckeye Nation. Hopefully the future years of my nephews college football experience will give me an opportunity to contribute informative & factual posts.
The only thing that I find amazingly ludacris on the numerous OSU football forums is the amount of complaining / ungrateful posting about such a successfull college football program that in my eyes has become a dynasty with a proven winning tradition that is the envy of football fanatics from out of state!! (Remember now that I reside in Illinois!!) Yet if I did indeed live in Ohio my entire life I may be a guilty party as well. Thank you for this opportunity!!

PS - my nephew is a DT who has RS this (his freshman yr) season and appears to have a promising future as a member of the Buckeye football program

hello fellow buckeyes!

just wanted to quickly introduce myself to maintain the tradition. i was born and raised in warren, ohio and graduated from THE ohio state university with a major in spanish and minors in japanese and french. i recently moved to tokyo, japan and i still maintain my buckeye fanhood by watching all of the games live via Slingbox technology - even if game time is 2am here! there are not any buckeye fans here, but did run into a japanese guy who went to school at ohio state and he instantly became a fan during his schooling. pretty cool!

GOH BUCKS!!!!!

I'm a huge Buckeye fan. I'm hoping/planning on attending OSU in the fall of 2010 (I'm almost 17 right now). I'm still a little new to posting and getting to know how the site works but, i'm a huge Buckeyes fan. My most memorable Buckeyes game for me personally would have the be in 2006 when Ohio State beat Michigan 42-39. I really don't have a specific favourite Buckeye player but I defintly would have to say Archie Griffin, Chris Carter, Jim Tressel, Eddie George and Woody Hayes are just some of my all time favourite Buckeyes.

GO BUCKEYES! :oh::io:

New to BP

Hey everyone, glad to be here at BP. I'm 29 years old, originally from New Philadelphia/Dover, Ohio, prior Air Force, and have been a Buckeye fan since I was old enough to know what football was. I now live in Cambridge, WI (about 25 minutes west of Madison). Anyway, thanks for having me here, Beat Michigan, and GO BUCKS!

Hello BUCKEYES!:osu: I am A die hard fan stuck here in tennessee ( you can just imagine all the crap i get day in and day out!) I just found out about this site and very glad that i did, i atleast can hear an intelligent conversation here that does not involve someone stating that the SEC is the "self proclaimed" greatest conference ever. :osu2::scum3::bigten2:
