Who was the first Bond and what was the first movie? I want to say it was Casino Royale, but am not sure who played Bond... There was another one timer other than Lazenby who only played the original film if I am not mistaken
Well... there were two 'Casino Royale's" and niether one of them really qualify as 'Bond Films" (Not even on the 'Never Say Never Again' Level). I think the Most well known Casino Royale was a spoof on Bond Films (More of an Austin Powers predecessor) that was kind of a 'star vehicle' at the time... It had David Niven, Peter Sellers, Woody Allen... Oddly, Ursula Andress... I think Orson Welles was in it too. This was in the late '60's I beleive. I watched maybe 45 minutes of it once.
The other Casino Royale was a (early?) 50's American Television Movie/Special... I've seen it as a curiosity... I remember it to be about an hour long... THe only notable thing about it was that Felix Leiter is the British Agent, and James "Jimmy" Bond is the CIA Agent... and really The only function Bond Plays in the 'show' (That I can remember) is as a cardsharp (It is Casino Royale, afer all) whose job it is to take down the bad guy playing cards. (I could google this I'm sure.. but I tend to remember cringing... one of my common reactions while watching this... because I think they were playing Blackjack, not Baccarat). Anyway, that's what I can remember about that... I don't remember any of the actors being especially notable.
That leaves 'Dr No' as the First Bond Film... Casino Royale was the First Book, but the scope of the story is such that if they did do it as a film it would have to be extremely embellished to make a film. Of course... that wasn't a big deal... If you were to read 'You Only Live Twice' you'd find it had much more resemblance to the Island of Dr Moreau than the film.... In Goldfinger... the book... They actually stole the Gold from Ft Knox... Which was the reasoning behind the line at the Ranch in the film that went something like, "Goldfinger, I've been doing some calculations, and it would take 500 men 23 days to load all the gold on 200 trucks..." Or whatever it was... not exactly a smash and grab job... so not only was the Chinese nuclear device much more 'evil' but also made Goldfinger's motivations much more realistic...
What about hottest Bond chick? Anya Amasova (Agent Triple X)? Solitaire? Pussy Galore? Dr. Holly Goodhead?
Whew.. now this is going to be hard... And when I say 'hottest' I mean the most all around "attractive"... not only bedcause of the way they looked but the character behind them.
Here are 5 favorites... I will not attempts to put them in order.
Pussy Galore- It almost has to begin and end here... although, she was the second bad girl turned good...not only was she one of the Bad Guys... She was a Lesbian and Bond turned her straight... along with the rest of her little hottie lesbian pilots... the whoe package is an intriguing one indeed.
Kissy Suzuki- In You only live Twice--- Lots of things going on here... She's a Professional 'Agent herself.... looks 16... Can't Act... Yellow Fever... And she holds out for a long time before Bond gets his way... Good Stuff...
Melina Havelock- For Your eyes only... I'm not Going to explain it.. I just dig chick with Crossbows who have a penchant for skinny dipping.
And Of Course Honey Rider... Can't Speak Engish... Scared Of Monsters.. hangs out in Bikini's diving for shells on radioactive islands... what luck!
