Stanley Cup Final: Detroit vs. Pittsburgh

well yeah, thanks Versus, I'd hope Pittsburgh out-shot Detroit in the first....8 minutes of PK time will do that for you.....anyone who is familiar with how the basics of this game would understand that point....

Did anyone else's feed cut out midway through the last Pitt powerplay? Typical VS for those that don't watch them a lot. It happens just about every game.

Just for a couple seconds... first time I've ever had that happen, actually.

This game is making me nervous... I wish we could score a goal that actually counted. :)

:groove:

While I thought this series would be a bit closer than what it was tonight, Pittsburgh has to play more than 1/3rd of a game (the 1st period was essentially even and the 2nd and 3rd periods were dominated by Detroit) or else this series won't get past next Saturday.

I'll take it though

You can't win if you don't score, and the Pens didn't tonight.

Shame on the Buckeyes rooting for a team from TSUN.

Go Pens!

the pens lost nearly every key draw.

malkin had one shots, crosby 3. the pens were out hit by 2-1 during most of the game (till about 8 mins left in the game when the outcome was all but decided). 7 shots in the final 40 mins.

the pens have to play their system, in the mid of the 1st they started forcing passes in the neutral zone and defensive zone. then they started chasing. detroit is to skilled to do that, you have to play your system.

the pens need to get pucks deep, pucks on net and show a willingness to play in the tough parts. id like to see the pens cycle the puck down low on the wings. reality is the wings are one of the sofest teams in the west and they just beat on the pens.... the pens had very few takeaways and had over 10 giveaways many in neutral ice and maf looked like he had an oar paddling the puck to malkin on the 2nd goal.
