Star Wars (May the Force be with you)

finally saw it last night.

not gonna say anything because I have no clue how to use the spoiler feature.

Saw it on Wednesday. Won't spoil either. Will say that I liked it a lot. Way better than the prequel three... perhaps better than Empire and Return... On par with the one that started it all. All told, probably a better story, but the impact that the first had was bigger in my mind.

Worth seeing more than once... and I rarely will do that in a theater. Saw 2D on Wednesday, going with some friends to see 3D tonight.

saw it in 2d at a SDX theater.
massive screen, leather recliners, amazing sound system.

if they're gonna make a habit of send me to fucking Tejas, I might make a habit of going to that theater.

Saw the 3-D. In a recliner.

They ran this primer before the movie started, about the difference between the light & the dark side. Set it up as "What will you choose?"

Had a crew of rowdy small kids in the audience. When that segment finished, one of the kids says very audibly "I chooose..."
Like he had to decide if he wanted to be evil, or not. I'm worried about that kid.

Saw it today. I enjoyed some nostalgia that was in the film, plus it was good to just see Star Wars in the movies again.

The story itself had titanic sized holes in it. I was expecting more there. The planning to attack starkiller base was particularly irksome to me. "Let's do some stuff over here and here and presto, attacko" weak.

"We'll use the Force!"
"That's not how the Force works!"

Loved it so much. These kids have so much more faith than their parent generation. I love them to bits. And Kylo Ren is an amazing, flawed villain. With the mask, he's so badass and cold; without the mask, he's so vulnerable and try-hard. Just brilliant.

Is anyone discussing the fact
this supposed dark sider, trained at some point by Luke Skywalker in the ways of the force, and now under the tuteledge of Snope, was bested in a light saber duel by a guy who had no force ability whatsoever and a girl who had, at best, 3 hours of experience in using her new force abilities...........Oh, and the fact neither of them had EVER USED A LIGHTSABER BEFORE THAT DAY, but were able to hang with, and best, an experienced Dark Lord who I assume had some LS training.

That's what pissed me off

Did you miss her vision when she first picked up the light saber? She had training at a very young age, not to mention she's been on her own surviving a hostile environment for the last 15 years. She's a legit badass.

Loved it. Daughter was literally on the edge of her seat the whole movie. Gave her my hoodie cause she was cold. During one of the big battles, she had the hood sinnched up, only watching with one eye.

Her favorite characters are R2D2 and "Karla When".

One thing...

So we watched him use the force to literally freeze Rey, who herself is strong with the force. Yet when fighting Finn...I know Ren was injured....but he should have been able to use the force a bit and cut Finns head off.

Other than that, loved it. Can't wait for Rogue Squadron and eventually Ep 8.
