Star Wars: The Old Republic

My friends and I that I have gamed with online in MMO's for 10+ years now are going to be playing it. We're not hardcore by any means but very good when we're playing something organized. If anyone's looking for a group to play with feel free to join in...

By the way, Studepaber created a guild already. "Show me your crits". There aren't many members, yet. If you're into casual playing, and goofy social guild, and talking Ohio State, this is a good guild.

Pre-Order the game, and sign up for an account, and apply to the guild "Show me your crits". Put something in your application about Buckeye Planet and he should accept you.

(By the way, getting accepting into a nerdy club like this - is that a win or a loss?)

I'm going to make a Sith Inquisitor (does that mean I ask questions until you die?) and name him Yoda. Then I'll be Darth Yoda. Bitches bow before my creative nerdiness! BOW!

I've been going through that site and looking at multiple Sith guilds to gain a sense of the class populations.

Sith Inquisitor
Sith Warrior
Bounty Hunter
in a distant... distant fourth - Imperial Agent.

I still don't know what I will choose, and don't know if I'll let the above information impact my choice.

I didn't get a chance to play this past weekend, but some people i know did and said it was very polished and well put together. They also said if you loved KOTOR you will absolutely fall in love with SWTOR. I just wish i could find the time to play this game because i really want to.

Just finished the weekend Beta, and I will say this, if you like KOTOR you will love this game.

I really enjoyed KOTOR 1 an 2, loved the story line and charscter development. So, are you saying that even if I don't do much of the guilds, and quests, the story and basic game play will be worth the wait? I was a little afraid that this game by lean more towards cooperage playing and less of story driven style like KOTOR.

Just a general question for the expert PC gamers. Do any of you know if there is a connector/link for my xbox controller to the PC? Just so used to this controller I am wondering how long it will take to adjust.

Wired controllers will connect to your PC's USB ports and work with certain games. For wireless controllers I believe there are receivers and/or cables that will connect it.

However, playing an MMORPG like SW:TOR on the PC with a controller would NOT be a wise decision. There are too many hotkeys/macros/bindings for it to be a viable option IMO.

The class story is a lot of fun, and mostly single player. It mimics KOTOR exactly.
