I think it will be nice for some folks around Columbus to get a preview of what Mayes can do, but Worthington is just a terrible gauge for what is going to happen the next winter. I've seen it time and time again where someone explodes in the Summer only to be a dud for the hoops season. That being said, I think Mayes is the real deal, and regardless of what he shows in Worthington (I am expecting to hear raves), he should be able to step right in next year and be a leader on the team along with Terrence Dials. The recruiting haul of 2006 is understandably getting us hyped about the program, but Mayes, Dials, and Lewis coupled with the nice assortment of role players we have should legitimately compete for honors in the Big Ten this coming season.
