Ok. This is the 5th time I've heard this. How are your girlfriends/wives/mistresses pleased if you don't have the ability to control your own unit?

Has anyone here ever heard of kegels? It's a muscle, you can stop peeing just as much as you can hold off when having sex.

Urban Meyer said he has suspended players for misdeeds before, but usually with no public announcement. Such was not the case late last week with Jake Stoneburner and Jack Mewhort.

?But I thought whenever you embarrass the team in public like they did, then I?m going to let the public know what we did,? the Ohio State coach said yesterday.

Stoneburner, a senior tight end, and Mewhort, a junior offensive tackle, were arrested early on June 2 by Shawnee Hills police for obstruction of official business and, in the case of Stoneburner, public urination.

?I was crushed,? Meyer said of his first reaction upon hearing the news involving two upperclassmen expected to be leaders on his first OSU team. ?Then when I learned more about what happened, and the fact I know the kids, and that it?s the first time anything has ever been said negative about them, and that they get great grades and are war horses ? but mistakes were made, and that was a stupid mistake.?

Stoneburner and Mewhort pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct, according to court records ? including court costs, each had to pay $299 ? but their sentence with Meyer has just begin. Each was removed from scholarship for the summer, and they had most of their privileges of being an OSU player suspended until they satisfy Meyer?s reinstatement program.

?It?s between us, but it?s a series of about a dozen things that need to be done, and I have all the confidence in the world they will get them done,? Meyer said. ?They are on strict probation, and there are curfews and a variety of other things they must adhere to, and if they slip up, they are going to miss playing time.?

Charges Dropped Against OSU's Stoneburner

SHAWNEE HILLS -- Criminal charges have been dropped against OSU tight end Jake Stoneburner.

The senior was arrested last month when he allegedly fled from police after being caught urinating outside the Bogey Inn.

Buckeye offensive tackle Jack Mewhort was also arrested, along with a third OSU student.

Coach Urban Meyer suspended Stoneburner and Mewhort after the arrests, but said each could work his way back on to the team.

Both players are currently listed as starters on Meyer's depth chart.

CHICAGO -- Official reinstatement hasn?t yet been granted for tight end Jake Stoneburner and left tackle Jack Mewhort.

But at this point, it appears to be merely a matter of days for the Ohio State veterans.

Buckeyes coach Urban Meyer initially suspended them both indefinitely for their offseason arrests in June before stripping them of their scholarships, making them work out separately from the team and also placing stipulations they had to meet before receiving full clearance to rejoin the program. Both Stoneburner and Mewhort are apparently on track to return, though Meyer won?t be marking it down as a done deal until next week.

?I anticipate it,? Meyer said during an interview session at Big Ten media days on Thursday. ?But it?s obviously eight days away.

?If they continue, if they fulfill their community service and a variety of things I?m not going to list [they will be cleared]. There are a variety of things they?ve done and they have to continue to do that. If it continues as is, they will report next Friday.?

WELCOME BACK: Left tackle Jack Mewhort, a St. John's Jesuit graduate, and tight end Jake Stoneburner rejoined the team for Friday's practice, a team spokesman confirmed.

The two starters were suspended from team activities and taken off scholarship for the summer academic session after pleading guilty to a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct in June.

"At first it was hard, especially for Jack," senior fullback Zach Boren said. "Jack is an amazing football player and an amazing leader. So is Jake; he has a lot of pull around the program. But coach Meyer and coach [Marotti] were really good about it. They paid their dues for a while. But then they started bringing them back a little bit, and had them working out with the freshmen.

"They were still staying away from us a little bit, which hurt them, but they were able to lead the younger guys. ... By putting them with the [freshmen], it made them be able to lead again and made them get a sense a pride about themselves."

4. TE Jake Stoneburner (6-5, 245)
With the new-look offense this season in Columbus, scouts are eager to see if Stoneburner will be used in a similar fashion as Aaron Hernandez was under Meyer at Florida. Stoneburner was one of the top tight-end recruits out of high school, even receiving an offer from Meyer's Gators, but decided to stay close to home in Columbus. After redshirting in 2008, Stoneburner spent his freshman season as Jake Ballard's backup. He was a part-time starter in 2010 and set career bests with 21 catches for 222 yards and a pair of touchdowns. His stats declined last season as a junior, but he tied for the team lead with 14 grabs and set a personal best with seven scores. Stoneburner has a tall, athletic frame with a narrow build and lean torso, looking more like a bulky receiver than traditional tight end. He has good straight-line speed and is a nice catch-and-run player, but needs to stay balanced in and out of his breaks. Although he gives top effort as a blocker, Stoneburner isn't overpowering and tends to be too heavy-handed, leading to holding calls. He isn't overly aggressive in tight coverage and can be too easily overmatched physically by defenders in coverage. Stoneburner has nice focus, but only good, not great, hands with an underwhelming 37 combined catches in 36 career games. He was suspended this summer for a violation of team rules, but shouldn't miss any playing time. Although he is an intriuging receiving option, Stoneburner isn't the top-100 prospect that many are making him out to be and projects as more of a third-day selection.
