Tennessee Titans (Official Thread)

They just need to play Volek...he will get us out of the cellar.

Agreed.

I have no idea why they even got Collins. I understand that they wanted a veteran leader, but the guy has obviously peaked, and can never hit 50 percent numbers, accuracy-wise. If he couldn't get the job done with Moss in Oakland last year, then there's no way he can get it done with Bennett and Givens.

Is it just me, or am I the only one who remembers Volek being dominant in '04 with exception of the Broncos game on Christmas? The guy can play, and Collins is just hurting Volek, and even more importantly, Young.

No, i remember when Volek was sweet, and still is. What is it that the coaching staff doesn't see in Volek? He set the record for most yards by a backup over three games 2 years ago. He almost had 1000yds in 3 games...Collins and Young can't do that.

Just put Volek in and they will see what happens...he will hit Bennett and Givens all day long.

wow, what a game. I don't know what BV did to get in the dog house but it must have been pretty bad if Collins is still the qb. I heard this morning that KC's passer rating would actually improve if he just spiked the ball all game

 Ah yes, AKA "The Aaron Brooks Syndrome"

Im still a Titans fan, even after the backlashing we took. I'm telling, all they need to do is stick in Volek.

It is pretty sad that we only had 15yds total yards at the half...

Well, I'd sure hope so.

After the loss yesterday, it might be safe to say that we are the worst team in the league.

I'm still perplexed by the Kerry Collins signing, and am even more confused as to why/how he started so soon, and how he's mainted the starting role. I hope for B. Volek's sake that they ship him off to KC, or maybe even Oakland, or some place that needs a talented QB. He has all the tools, as he's proved beforehand, and will make an impact somewhere.

If the Titans aren't going to use Volek, then I suggest they just use Young from here on out. Young didn't have a great game yesterday, but it wasn't horrific. His accuracy was unsatisfactory (7/19), but he didn't turn the ball over. Also, he threw a TD to Bennett, who had a relatively soft outing (3 rec. 45 yards).

Stupid Titans...Volek was a starting QB, and they traded him away. He must of been in the doghouse big time since he never played at all. Well the Titans may win 1 game this year...do i hear #1 pick for us?

Thing is, he was a starter, then they screwed him over and traded him to be a backup...they could have gotten 2 or 3 rounds higher with the pick they got had they treated him like he was going to play. Now they get nothing out of him 2x, and Volek is riding the pine in SD. Everyone loses.

There is no way Collins will win a game for us this year. Young may, but it is soo damn early in his career for him to be leading an NFL team. He needs another year or so he get adjusted.

I say we got for #1 and trade it for some sweet guys.
