Terrell Owens (official thread of nonsense)

I always had to shake my head at the people who wanted Chad gone from the Bengals. I would've gladly taken him in Cleveland. Terrell Owens coming here would be some kind of karmic retribution for those folks who blamed Chad when the Bengals sucked. Terrell Owens will make Chad look like Marvin Harrison (The Marvin Harrison that quietly caught a lot of footballs, not the one who shot somebody.)

reading their twitter accounts (T.O and chad) it sounds like t.o is ready to sign....reading on bengals forums too that it's only a matter of time. I guess we'll see....

too early to say if this will work or not. I guess it really depends if T.O understands his role that he won't be the #1 WR. I think the potential is there to make it happen and could go a long way to breaking the playoff win drought.

I love Cad. I've always called him "the good TO". He is good for the game and by all accounts is a good team mate. TO on the other hand is a team cancer. Wait until he has no catches in a game & watch the cancer spread. Great talent? Yes. would i want him on my team? No way!!!

Source: Terrell Owens, Cincinnati Bengals agree on one-year, $2 million deal - ESPN
Source: Owens agrees with Bengals

Terrell Owens has agreed on a one-year, $2 million deal with the Cincinnati Bengals, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter on Tuesday.

According to the source, the deal also includes another $2 million in incentives.

Owens spent last season with the Buffalo Bills. He caught 55 passes for 829 yards and hauled in five touchdowns as the Bills finished the season 6-10.

The St. Louis Rams dropped out of the bidding for Owens on Monday and a source told Schefter earlier Tuesday the New York Jets expressed interest in the 36-year old wide receiver.

With Cincinnati, Owens will team with also-controversial wide receiver Chad Ochocinco as targets for Pro Bowl quarterback Carson Palmer. In 2009, Palmer and Ochocinco helped lead a resurgent Bengals team to the AFC North title and a spot in the wild card round of the playoffs.

Contd....

So, apparantly TO has been playing some indoor football (when he feels like it the way the article makes it sound) and has been cut.

From Yahoo! Shutdown Corner:

Terrell Owens gets $50 severance from Allen Wranglers, threatens lawsuit

If what TMZ reports is true, embattled Indoor Football League superstar Terrell Owens (who, we believe, used to play in the NFL once upon a time) is getting ready to sue his former team, the Dallas-based Allen Wranglers, for wrongful termination. Once T.O. was booted from the team for alleged contract violations, the Wranglers took it a few steps further by insisting that Owens return the 2012 Jeep Cherokee he had been given, sending an eviction notice, and writing a check for the receiver's ownership share in the team ... which turned out to be for $50.

con't...
