The Paul Finebaum Show (Official Thread)

Put it this way, if you had to put up a year's salary on OSU or Alabama to win straight up on a neutral field, who would you pick?
What percent of fans know that the Alabama QB is playing a lot like 2016 JT Barrett? I'd estimate less than 5% of casual cfb fans.

I'd feel far better facing them then anyone else in the playoffs. As in 10-20 pts better

If you think JT can't throw the ball, just wait for some here to see hurts throw the ball...and vs a team like Clemson who has an ELITE DL, he'll need to pass.

Oh I know. Still pick them to beat us as much as it pains me to say.
Good JT could crush them. Or they could break JT and subject themselves to another Cardale.

JT was a few plays away from destroying UW by about 30. The juxtoposition that is Barrett makes anyone nervous, but this isn't a typical bama team. This is a team plagued by many of the same flaws as osu without as much upside in terms of better offensive outings.

Yeah what anyone who is so pro Bama this year doesn't seem to realize is take away the name on the front of their jersey and their resume looks an awful lot like Wisconsin's this year.

Sorry, but when you're picking 4 out of 130 teams for a playoff it's not just about a resume' any more than getting a job is solely about a resume'. I think Bama would beat Bucky handily, and apparently I'm not the only one.

I like their LBs more. Not sure all the reasons for our inconsistent pass game. If it wasn’t dropped balls, then it was under thrown balls. We sputter a lot. I’m quite happy we get to play USC. I will again be at the venue to enjoy it.

That lack of consistency is what would have me betting on Bama.

I take it you don't gamble much and realize that an early 3 point spread in Vegas means nothing. That, and if you're using a 3 point spread as an argument, that's not saying much. I'd need to see an early Vegas line of 7 to even consider that a valid argument to think Bama is much better than OSU.
