The Walking Dead (Official Thread)

It's interesting to see the parallels between the TV show and the comic. How some arcs are similar, but with different characters. I was surprised at how quickly they blew through Hershel's farm and moved on to the prison. Seemed like they were at the farm forever on the show.

I think my favorite thing is how very different Herschel is in the comics from his TV counterpart.

Very much NOT the wise old sage that Rick needed in the show.

Kirkman has said from the start that the comics and the show operate in separate but equal universe. I have loved reading the comics the last one kept me up til 1:30 reading and rereading but the show allows to build extra tension and suspense. Both are wonderfully put together it scares me as an avid fanatic of television and their origin stories. There is so much I want to say about the comics but will refrain from giving possible spoilers for the show.

Sloppy pm me what the last issue of the comics you have is please. I want to make certain that I haven't missed an issue.
