Thread of What You've Eaten, Cooked and/or Drunk Lately

I need more details on this. Assuming drunk Steelers fans egged it on but I need to know
My neighbor has a fireman and for the Superbowl they had the party at his house. There was a barbeque before had, lots of booze and the drinking continued throughout the game. There was a lot of yelling and cheering throughout the game but after Larry Fitzgerald 9who lives very close to here) scored on that long touchdown run the cardinal fans thought it was over. As far as I could tell there was one very vocal Steeler fan who kept yelling "the Cardinals suck!" but everyone was laughing because they thought it was over. As the Steelers drove for the game winning touchdown the Steeler dude was talking lots of shit and when Holmes caught that pass there was pandemonium. He was going back and forth with someone and the ladies were telling them to chill out and suddenly there was a bunch of yelling and screaming. I could tell they were outside now and it sounded like all hell broke loose. I looked out the window and it looked like a bench clearing baseball brawl. It kind of broke up then started again, a few minutes later a few squad cars rolled up but no one got arrested, they all knew each other. My wife even suggested that they came to help the Cardinal dude fight the Steeler guy.It was pretty crazy though. I have some stories too about the dude's wife and daughter but those would need to go in the Romper Room.

What do you guys do for the Super Bowl
watch something other than the Super Bowl

or if you host a party for a big Buckeyes game?
only time I ever hosted one for a Buckeyes games was January of 2008.

Do you:

1). Mash-Mash of fingerfoods/appetizers/dips? Just a bunch of stuff for people to pick at and graze?

2). More of a structured meal. Obviously not sit-down/formal but only 1-2 dishes?

usually cook outside on pit or boil seafood type stuff.

I like ... shitty ... food ... etc

not shocked

But two years ago when Cincinnati was in the Super Bowl we went over to a friends house to let the kids play and she made two different trays of lasagna (a white one and a traditional one) with garlic bread and salads and that was awesome.

I make a pretty mean lasagna

Sauces are fun and exciting, don't know why. They really add to a dish.
Totally agree. Veloute is up next week. I've made sauce supreme once and it's the best thing I've ever made. Going to be interesting to see the difference, if any.

I thought I already posted this, so apologies if it's a repost, but I didn't see it above

There's an art to sauce making, even a pan gravy can be a lot of fun and tasty
