Thread of What You've Eaten, Cooked and/or Drunk Lately

Made Gnocchi. It’s been a while. I have been steaming the potatoes in the microwave for years instead of boiling them. Keeps them much dryer so they take less flour. This time I used our Instant Pot™. Worked even better.

No pictures of the ones in garlic butter.
Damn, now I want to make gnocchi. Haven't made it in forever. Good in cream of mushroom soup.

Add the bone from the Christmas ham.

Fresh thyme and Spanish smoked paprika.

Add water, stock and beans. Bring to a boil, cover and reduce to a simmer, and now we play the waiting game for an hour or so.

Next Steps.

Pull the bone out (insert your own joke here), and pull off any meat that naturally hasn't come off. Mince it up and throw it and the bone back into the pot.

Add some additional leftover Christmas ham cubed. Throw into the pot.

Play waiting game again. Slow simmer, but this time uncovered. What I want is a consistency somewhere between soup and chili.

First soak overnight?

I haven't done this in a while and I bought a kit honestly, with the beans and spices. (And a while is like 15+ years ago)
