Tim Beck (HC Coastal Carolina)

OCs don't generally 'learn' a system. An OC is supposed to 'design' a system. You often see a drop off after an OC change because the players are learning the new system. If Beck spent his year trying to learn Urban's system, that's a big problem. Beck needs to come in and add to the existing system, take what worked and then add his own spin to it. If he was just supposed to learn the system, then he was a QB coach and they just told him he was the OC. The last 3 years was a mix of Urbans and Hermans systems. This year was Beck trying to run Hermans system.

In any event, if Warriner isn't calling plays from here on out there is something very wrong.

This is a fact though Tampa. Urban has stated a number of times that people will run HIS system and that we do not do what other coordinators bring in. Herman came in and ran our system but yes he did add a few other things to (wrinkles).

I read somewhere that Urban when interviewing Herman asked him to read the play book for an hour and then he would see what he knew. When that hour was up UFM was blown away with how well Herman had grasped the play book shows quick. We called him Mensa for a reason.

Then it should have been a big clue when Urbs asked Beck to do the same thing, and his response was "What's a play book?"

I don't think anybody here ever called him "MENSA" as a compliment.

I vote for for "suffer". We've had it much too good lately, and we need a huge dose of suffering to balance things out and make things fair.

Now now now. I object!! This why we have the Cleveland Browns...

Lets face up to it..........we all knew it was going to be a challenge for the Buckeyes to repeat as a N/C contender. We all knew it was going to be a war against the last two games on the schedule. And you all knew that losing Tom Herman was huge. Lets quit crying over spilled milk and move on. There is always next year.

There's still 1 game this year. Yes, it's "meaningless"... but a chance to clobber the other ultimate arrogant douchebags in the Midwest should never be wasted. It should also be a sending off party for Eze, Brax, Bosa, Cardale, etc.

Does anyone know if James Madison is in need of an offensive coordinator?

Somewhat amusing, James Madison has had a pretty decent year. I'm hoping Youngstown State...
That's assuming he's getting any other offers.

With all the HC jobs opening up and staffs reshuffling... Warinner can't be Beck's only friend, can he? Can he !?

You're high if you think we lost that game because of the defense. This is the most absurd argument since you contrarians tried to tell the board that maybe it wasn't Beck's fault that we started sucking balls on offense the second he was hired and we went nuts the second he had play calling duties taken away.
You got me all mixed up with someone else. I have maintained it is Beck's fault. Regardless, in the game in question, the defense held Nebraska to 6 points in the first half, and then gave up 28 in the second half. How that isn't the defense blowing the game, I'd like to know.

After Braxton went down early in the third quarter Ohio State had 6 drives, 25 plays for 73 yards, fumble punt punt punt interception punt.

Nebraska scored touchdowns off of both turnovers, the first of which being a 2 play drive for 23 yards.

Anyone blaming the defense doesn't remember the game.
