He could end up a Buckeye, but OSU has 4 qbs now on their roster and Tebow wants to play right away, so i am not sure how that would work out.
Unless he wants to play as a true freshman. But my feeling on the kid is he is not that high and mighty that expects to play from day 1. Now as a redshirt frosh... sure.

Which makes us having 4 QBs a little overblown. During Tebow's first year we will have 2 senior QBs which means his redshirt freshman year he can be in an open competition for the starting job.

With that all said, his chance of wearing scarlet and gray is probable .01% with his parents Florida grads and all the other schools in on him. The only chance I see of us getting him would be to get him to camp here and then having him connect with Tressel due to their religious backgrounds and then Tressel giving him an offer. But that is a lot of "ifs".

Stockstill Making Jacksonville Rounds

By Phil Kornblut
For years Rick Stockstill has been the dominant football recruiter in Jacksonville, FL. First for Clemson and now for USC, Stockstill has developed strong ties to the talent rich city. Stockstill is making his spring run though the Jacksonville area and one of his first stops was Nease High School in nearby St. Augustine, home of highly regarded QB Tim Tebow (6-3 225). USC and Clemson are among the more than 70 schools to offer Tebow. According to his father, that list has not been cut. "He's still listening because people are still coming to school," Mr. Tebow said. "In a few weeks we'll narrow things down. We want to give everybody the same chance. South Carolina and Clemson are both interesting to me, his dad. Spurrier certainly knows how to coach quarterbacks and win championships. And Clemson has a new offensive coordinator and he has a great reputation for developing the passing game." Clemson recruiter Dabo Swinney has also made his visit to Tebow's school. Tebow has no favorites according to his father. He is still playing baseball and hasn't participated in spring practice. He will spend June throwing to his own receivers. In July, he will be in the Philipenes on a mission and when he returns he will attend the Elite 11 camp in California.

Florida recruiting efforts
By Garry Paskwietz
Date: May 18, 2005

The state of Florida has been a solid recruiting territory for USC in recent years and it looks like those efforts may even be increased this year. The Trojan coaches spent a lot of time in the Sunshine State last week with no fewer than nine prospects on the wish list and it wouldn't be a major surprise to see us land several players on the list. Here's a recap of who we saw:
Tim will reportedly visit USC and they mention that two schools on his list (Florida and Georgia) recently received verbals from two top QB prospects.

In the new Sporting News, there is a small blurb about Tebow. It says that since Florida got the Snead kid from Texas, Tebow will most likely end up at FSU or USC. I wouldn't put much credence in the last part of that statement, but it's pretty clear he's not as high on Florida as he used to be.

I seriously doubt he ends up at USC w/it it being across the country and the fatc they got Sanchez and Hinds there in the wings. Also, UF was his childhood favorite, he slept in Gator sheets.. I can't imagine him going to FSU. Georgia just got Stafford, and Cox last year. It should be interesting to see who else lands on his list. Miami maybe if he wants to stay in state?

I think he meant UF was his childhood favorite. Besides, since when did the sporting news become experts at recruiting. Tebow is going to a major school, obviously, so he's probably considering only 15 or so of the 70 that's offered him. He seems like a heady kid who'll decide strictly based on which school offers a better opportunity for him. It may be OSU, it may not. I think he's said that he doesn't mind redshirting for a year, so any high-level school that offers him a good chance of competiting for a starting position in 2 years, which is pretty much every good school out there, could be a valid destination for him.
