So we can't make fun of a team in a different league just because something out of our control sucks? Is that what you're implying, or am I just reading it incorrectly?

The point is that we are Buckeye fans, as in fans of a team that everyone in the country hated the year we won the national championship because our offense looked like crap under Krenzel half the time. Our offense looked like crap under Boeckman half the time, too.

For the record, I don't see why Tebow can't succeed in the NFL running this type of offense. It's just not what the NFL "wants" out of a QB, but it always works. I hate when people say (and I hear it all the time when talking about football), "you can't run an option offense in the NFL, the defenses are too good once they are prepared for it." That is NONSENSE. That's basically what football was in the early days, but besides that, well-run option football plays are basically unstoppable. It's like a pick-and-roll in basketball, something you can teach an 8-year-old that works for Stockton and Malone all the way to the Hall of Fame.

Tebow's career running stats: 91 rushes, 547 yards, 6.0 yards per rush (you read that right), 8 TD's.

I'm not rooting against Tebow as much as I am rooting against all the [censored]ing attention he gets when football is discussed.

No one said you CAN'T. It just looks dumb to hammer away at that when the picture in the mirror looks so similar.

Tebow is so bad that he forces the offensive gameplan to be one-dimensional. So I guess he is responsible for the win. :tongue2:
In a way Numby. In another, making the QB a running threat screws up the defensive gaps and assignments they normally run. Their third string guy did not run for a C-note just because he was awesome. The read option opened up some holes for him in a way that a normal QB would not. Which is all to say, Timmy had something to do with it.

Everyone agrees that he has light years to go in his footwork and reads.

I disagree. I have nothing to do with the personnel or playcalling at OSU. I make fun of our offense more than I make fun of Denver's. And we're talking about a guy whose coach gave him a back-handed compliment today. Something like "if we were running any other offense, we'd be screwed." Translation? I hope we keep winning with a one-dimensional offense, because our QB cannot throw the ball.

I don't think it's blind hatred when said player is being shoved down our throats and getting the credit for a win while completing 2 passes. I'd argue that it looks dumb to think he is the only reason they're winning.

Hyperbole alert. No one is claiming that they are winning ONLY because of Tebow. Except you Numby.

I'm starting to think of the Tebow experiment as if one decided to run the Wildcat all game with Toby Gerhart taking the snaps. That 6.0 ypc is a bit eye opening, as is the production from the other backs. If he can manage to complete a few more passes, this whole thing may just work.

I want to see Denver beat the Jets simply because Mike and Mike the next day would be absolutely hilarious. Greeny might hang himself on the air.

Greeny said he's DVRing the game then getting up at 2:00 am to watch it before he goes to work. If the Jets lose, he'll be whining like hell tomorrow morning.

I must have been watching a different game. Tebow just thanked Jesus Christ before thanking his teammates, but I didn't see a 2000 year old dead Jewish guy throw a single block for him tonight.
