Do we know this guy ran the company with diversity hires? My hunch is that it was a bunch of young white tech bros there to "break things and move fast."

I respectfully push back on that notion.
Remember the miners in Chile? They were down there for 60+ days and there was constant coverage.
My guess is that the driving force behind the wall to wall coverage is the ticking clock of Oxygen. Once it's gone, they story will fade as well.
