Titanic (official thread)

I think you are right. I can't imagine any military revealing its capabilities to save a handful of people, while putting their millions in their country at risk.
Considering that the primary function of those hydrophones is to identify unique sound signatures of Russian and Chinese subs, I'm sure that anything they pick up is classified at birth. And even if it's something like whale sounds, it's not declassified out of fear that it would give away the base capabilities of the technology.

So the fun part is at that depth, if/when they had a failure, when the bulkhead lets go, the air gets compressed so quickly it will literally flash fire, meaning whoever was on it incinerated before they drowned.
Honestly, a far better way to go than sitting at the bottom waiting for the oxygen to run out.

Asked what the prospects are for recovering the bodies of the crew members, Rear Adm John Mauger replies:

We’ll continue to work and continue to search the area, but I don’t have an answer for prospects at this time.

This is an “incredibly unforgiving environment”, he adds.

Great Business Opportunity. I'm going build a submarine to take paying voyeurs down to the site of the Titanic submarine wreckage. I'll need to "move fast," "break things" and "disrupt." And I can't be slowed down by any 50 year old Navy experts and their safety protocols.
