Too Great Expectations; new TEAM (long)

I'm having a hard time defending Bollman myself, but here's whats bothering me.

2001- We could still run the ball with authority. Bently, Jamar Martin and Wells could get it done. See the NU and scUM games.

2002- No problems running the ball untill MoC gets hurt. When he comes back the running game picks back up.

2003- Can't run with a bunch of NFL players along the OL and TE.

2004 ytd- the worst by far. Bunch of young guys who can pass block but not run block...WTF is going on? It should be just the opposite if anything.

There has been success under Bollman and there has been horrific failure as well. The common thread has been NFL caliber talent aplenty. The struggles seem to coincide with none of that talent being in the backfield.

I'm not agreeing with the people who say the scheme/technique he teaches are bad. Wisky does the exact same thing and they have great success with it. I think his teaching methods are probably for shit because the execution just isn't there.

All in all I say if this trend continues, changes need to be made on the offensive coaching staff this off season. OSU being among the bottom 20-30 offensive teams in football for two years running is just unacceptable but I'm still not sure it's all Bollmans fault.
I am feeling you a little bit here, but I tend to believe that the reason we ran the ball well in 2001 was because the O-line men still knew what they were doing because of the O-line coach under cooper. In 2002 the line still didn't look stellar, and I think we found out just how good MoC was, when he wasn't in the game our running attack struggled. Last year ..... it was a joke. This year ..... see last year. Im sorry but all I see is a decline under Bollman. It may be true that he has a great scheme, but if the players are not executing his scheme then he either needs to change it, or find some that will.

So what is your solution Jaxbuck? You talk a strong line but how would you fix it? What kind of formations should we be running, what kind of plays should we be running. What kind of players should we be recruiting? What coaches should be fired?

I love to hear from the armchair quarterbacks.

how about personal change? Zwick sucks ass, give someone else a shot.
