You thought scUM's secondary played well?

I'm not trying to bash you, but how? Cissoko had one of the worst games I've ever seen a DB have. Warren was beat many times too. They looked awful. Maybe worse than last year. I figured losing Trent would be addition by subtraction, but he might would've been an upgrade yesterday.
I thought they had a good secondary because on the few plays that I saw the first time around, Warren covered their WR one-on-one and looked pretty good doing it. I went back and watched it all over again and you're right. Looked like the ND secondary of 2005. :wink2: Well, maybe a little better than that. My bad.

In any case, I'd better be paranoid than surprised.

I watched the whole game and they were getting lit up the first half.
Third quarter Domers started screwing up and UM took advantage of the Domers defense. Yet the Domers still had a chance to win, then the Domers big WR (Floyd)left the game and they never recovered.
ND still looked like the better team for most of the game. :smash:

And we haven't talked about the light weight, thin defensive line..............(no pass rush without blitzing)

Luckily, we don't see an offense anywhere near as talented as Notre Dame the rest of the season.

did you notice that Notre Dame lit them up for 30+ points and 490 yards?

I am still not convinced that they are anything more than an average team

And did you notice that they were unranked and beat a ranked team? That they also clobbered the MAC school on their schedule? Would that some other Big 10 teams would have done as much.

I think Dick Wad is a jerk and I know there are a significant number of Michigan movers and shakers who resent the fact that he's not a "Bo guy." these are the same folks who still can't believe that when Michigan went coach hunting there were folks that said, "no thanks," that Les Myles didn't drop everything, take a pay cut, and come running home.

If I know that, you can bet Dick Wad knows it too and yet despite desertions, defections, and a minor pre-season shit storm he held the team together. Despite a rather smallish group of D linemen they held Notre Dame when they had to, despite a group of untested linebackers and DBs and despite playing a team with a three year starter at QB, he took a freshman QB and had the kid ready to outplay Claussen.

Hey, I gotta admit they sure looked improved from last years stumbling, fumbling, ball of fun.

I don't - our defense will be jacked and completely tee off on that little bitch Forcier. scUM's swiss cheese of a unit will yield yardage. The offense will have some new looks and surprises - JT is one of the best rivalry coaches in the country - he'll make damn certain that today isn't going to repeat itself come late November.

THE GAME is still over a month away and smack talk already starting. Nice!

Our defense sucks for sure, no question about that but our starting 3-man front is pretty solid with Brandon Graham, Mike Martin, and Ryan Van Bergen. The true freshman Craig Roh plays kind of a hybrid DE/OLB role in the defense and on some downs he's a stand-up DE, others he drops back into coverage. He's very good for a true freshman. Stevie Brown is our best linebacker by far, Obi Ezeh is garbage as is Jonas Mouton.

I think THE GAME will come down to Pryor converting passes with his arm, which he has been unable to do all season. In fact, he's probably the only reason why I like our chances in the game. He's good for an unforced turnover or two a game.

He's shown the ability against pourous defenses to convert very well...

Guess who's defense that might be??

after watching Tater Tots flop around against State Penn, I like his chances to make mistakes against Ohio State's D more than Pryor against scUM's D

TSUN's center Molk is out for the rest of the season....I think that this has a huge effect on TSUN's offense. Molk's back up....Moosman has been anything but impressive. We can look forward to more sights like this.....

I've actually had no fear of scUM this year or next. The fact that if the Big Ten outright title comes down to OSU beating them... It may get nasty. I'm talking another 35-7 or 42-7 game. The team is always ready to play against them and this year will be no different. Plus our defense will want to shut them up fast... cause they will be talking...again.

time????

Anyone have a confirmation of the time?? driving to work this morning, listening to scUM fans call in to Ann Arbor radio saying, "our performance last Saturday was embarassing" (music to my ears)...

... one of the radio guys said they heard the OSU/scUM game was going to be at 3:30 this year.

I hate that.
So, do we have confirmation of network and time?? Anyone? Buehler?

Go Bucks!
