Game Thread tOSU at Iowa, Sat Nov 20, 3:30 ET, ABC/ESPN

I think our focus needs more focus. Heh, focus is a funny word. Sometimes, when I think about a word too much, it starts to sound really weird and then I don't want to say it for a while, and it usually goes back to sounding normal again. Except "milk". That still sounds funny to me. Milk. heh, stupid word.

We will not lose this game. Done.

The word "crumbs" gets me every time...And I live in Louisville KY so before Pitino I got to hear that word often.

To no one's surprise, this is a 3:30 Eastern kickoff.

We open as a 3 point favorite.

I think we are playing Iowa at the right time. I felt like we played PSU at the worst time...we were off a bye and they were rolling into the game, and in the first half it showed. Lucky for us we were at home and our coach woke up our players at half and our effort was outstanding in the second half. Once we took the lead PSU fell apart at the seems and the stadium was so loud that Penn State had ZERO chance of scoring another point.

But we won't have a crowd to fire us up this game...and that's what worries me. I think we have a good shot of starting hot, and maybe actually putting Iowa away early. But if we don't, and Iowa gets off to a lead, then coming back is going to be much more difficult then it was yesterday. This is also a payback game for Iowa from last year, and I am always weary of the game before The Game. So there are still a lot of factors that make this one difficult for us, but I give us a much better chance of winning then it looked like a few weeks ago when Iowa was on top of their game. If they were still playing like that lately, then I'd be far less confident.

I wasn't happy that Iowa lost yesterday (unlike all the Buckeye fans watching the game in the stadium) mostly because we didn't need them to and it makes this game look less "big" to the voters and computers. Hopefully it doesn't work against us and fire them up. To be honest I'd just like to win these next two and am not too worried about where we end up in January.

I am hoping that with Iowa's 2 game back to back losses to Northwestern this will take the wind out of thier sails and make them question them selves if they are ready enough to take on Ohio State. They played hard against northwestern and the look on some of Iowa's players made me think they could be ready to throw in the towel. I could be wrong but i keep remembering what Tressel said of the BigTen that any team is capable of beating anybody. Wisconsin could be in for a surprise up in Tsun. There is a good possibility that the Buckeyes could be in line for another BigTen championship.
