Game Thread tOSU at NW'ern, Oct 5, 8 ET, ABC/ESPN/ESPN2

I don't blame them. We quite often get lined up and snap the ball in mere seconds in those situations. Seems they had done their homework and were ready for that to happen.

You are kidding right? As soon as a timeout was called it should have been replay city. I thought that it was close live and was CAPPING for the replay. Brent chose not to see it as being close and then warned us all about the danger of angles when they did show it again.

They managed to show plenty of other replays for far less significant plays

^^^^This. How can you not show a replay of a TD call? They showed that replay in the Tennessee game a gazillion times.

Not all fumbles are bad offense..give the defense credit for stripping the ball sometimes the Bears are experts at it. Adrian Peterson had one stripped a few weeks ago ..and every NFL team would take him in a minute. Finding fault is easy, politicians are experts at it..fixing the problems are not.

Um, Mushburger went to Northwestern.

I did note that when ESPN showed the highlights, they made the 4th down stand seem controversial, when there really was no controversy that came from the replay. It was pretty obvious they didn't get the 1st down, but whatever. There was an official looking right at the ball the whole time.

What everyone in the stands saw, was that the QB's knee hit the ground when he went to pick up the fumbled ball, close to a yard short of the first down mark. If it wasn't whistled dead then, it should have been, but as I look at the spot used, it seems to split the difference between where his knee hit and where the bucks stopped his forward progress.

What are you talking about? As soon as the timeout was called they DID start showing replays. Thats why it ended up getting reviewed.

Watch the game again brother you couldn't be more wrong. From the time the play ended till they started the replay it was over 80 seconds. The play clock was already running after the timeout before they even bothered.

I believe you gentleman may be discussing different things.

The drw, you are referring to when ABC began showing replays to the viewers, yes?
HorshoeFetish, you are referring to when the replay officials notified the field officials that they wanted to review it, yes?

Dude, what's my tattoo say?

I'm talking about the first time ABC showed the television viewers a replay. Unless BDUBB used some special effects in his torrent, from the time Carlos scores until they show the replay it's around 80 seconds. They don't show it during the timeout at all as the refs are blowing their whistles signaling the play clock is already running again.

Ok Fickell is not very good
Really? He also coaches the linebackers, which is not a weakness, imo. In fact, considering he has been a part of some of the best Ohio State defenses of all time, both as a player and as a coach, I would suggest that the onus is on the other Defensive Co-ordinator, the one responsible for safeties, who has been coach of a great defense exactly 0 times. But then again, I wouldn't expect you to understand anything about defense, since you can't even spell the guy's name correctly.

I believe you and I stand corrected.

In fact, now that I think about it, I would remember going completely apeshit if they had showed the goal line angle during the timeout but still weren't reviewing it. And I don't remember going apeshit (at least not at that point in the game), so they must not have done so.

Play calling in games he's terrible at, I would not expect you to understand defense either, since you spelled it wrong:)
