tOSU Recruiting Discussion

I'm just curious for those in the know.... do yall see the staff kinda slowing it down until camp & senior season, i mean we're already over half full, and we need some room for the late bloomers & campers.

I don't see the staff slowing down if the other guys are like Bosa and Neal

Pantoni tweeted this morning that the coaches are prepping for a month on the road of recruiting. Gotta keep the current verbals locked down, focus on those still on the target list and connect with 2014 and beyond.

It's reported that Neal was recruited as a LB, so I wonder if this spells the end of Kimbrough's chances of getting an offer. He really seems to want that offer, I was hoping we'd give him a shot. I'm sure he'll have success wherever he goes though.

Either that or the final spot will be between Jaylon Smith and Kimbrough. I also wouldn't be surprised to see a guy like Devaris Brunson emerge over the summer.

My impression is that the staff is still looking to add one more LB.

I know this may be a tad far fetched, but what r the chances the staff goes after another smaller, scatback type to go with elliot in this class? Imo, when hall leaves the rest of the roster is filled with RBs with similar styles(without elliott of course). Just wondering who will be our RB in space to go wide when another RB is next to braxton.

I don't think we have the scholarships with Meyer loading up on defense and still needing OL - we'll just have to make do (:wink2:) with Braxton and Elliott. Also, Urban has had some of his best success with bruising runners, part of the reason he tried to get Trent Richardson so hard. In the Big Ten, one scatback may just be enough.

And the bold part is when, IMO, recruiting goes to another level.
