tOSU Recruiting Discussion

I always like to look how our current class meshes with the preceding class and see what our team will look like when the 2012/13 classes are juniors/seniors. Of course there will be some defections but as of now on paper, it looks amazing (including our two '14 commits) especially on defense. Up front, I flat out believe Mitchell plays MIKE, not OLB:

QB: Cardale Jones, J.T. Barrett
RB: Brionte Dunn, Warren Ball, Ezekiel Elliott
Slot: Jalin Marshall, Dontre Wilson
WR 1: Michael Thomas, Gareon Conley(?)
WR 2: Corey Smith, Frank Clark
TE: Blake Thomas, Marcus Baugh
LT: Taylor Decker
G: Pat Elflein, Timothy Gardner
C: Jacoby Boren
G: Donovan Munger, Marcelys Jones
RT: Kyle Dodson, Evan Lisle
SDE: Joey Bosa, Se'Von Pittman
DT: Adolphus Washington, Michael Hill
DT: Tommy Schutt, Billy Price, Tracy Sprinkle
WDE/LEO: Noah Spence, Tyquan Lewis
OLB: Josh Perry, Trey Johnson
MLB: Camren Williams, Mike Mitchell, Luke Roberts
OLB: David Perkins, Darron Lee(?)
CB: Armani Reeves, Eli Apple, Gareon Conley (?)
CB: Najee Murray, Cameron Burrows, Damon Webb
FS: Vonn Bell, Darron Lee(?)
SS: Tyvis Powell, Jayme Thompson
Star: De'Von Boggard, Chris Worley

- We have almost enough for an outstanding 2-deep with these classes alone with the amazing balance and talent. It is clear we need to stock up across the OL in '14 but looking on paper, the combo of the '12/'13 class is sickkkkk.

No mention of jamal marcus? And no question mark for chris worley at OLB? He plays similar to lee, imo, and hits like a mack truck

Im also sure you meant james clark and not frank

Tressel never recruited nationally like Meyer did this year...15 of 25 of this class (60%) are from OOS. We got 15 kids from 10 states other than Ohio: CA, FL (2), GA (2), IN, TX (3), MO, MS, NC, NJ, and SC. Tressel never came close to that, and I'm one of the biggest Tressel homers here...

The way UFM recruits will make almost anyone look bad.

In his presser today Coach Meyer stated that part of the large OOS focus this year was because they didn't have time to make more inroads with 2013 Ohio players. He went on to state that future Buckeye classes will be more Ohio-centric.
