A little more on the recruiting stuff for the Buckeyes fans out there. I’ve said this before and I’m going to day it again: this will be the best recruiting class in the history of college football.

The scary thing is that we have so many big-time guys that want to come to Ohio State that we even have to turn away some of the top guys that want to join our class. There is room for a few more guys and you never who, if any guys decide to decommit or leave the class, but I know of about six top players in the country that are wanting to come to Ohio State. So the good news is not nearly done.

All your lists are wrong... cuz you don't have...
* player out of nowhere that had not been discussed and
* signing day surprise that we never knew was in play

This class is so off the charts, that it defies your typical past recruiting class tendencies/characteristics.

Edit: However, the word from Tate Martell is that there are quite a few big time prospects who would like to get in to this class. Even though the spots are almost filled, it's still a long way to February. How this class can shift around is still intriguing.

I'm with you minus L. Wade... Hasnt that ship sailed? I would put Falo at 4 now instead.

I don't think the ship has sailed as much as everyone else. I think we are very much in play still and just faded some while we were pursuing Holmes hard. I think Holmes is a long shot and if the staff is sensing that, I think we turn our attention back to L. Wade. Also, if the staff feels S. Wade is a flight risk, they might hammer the doors down for L. Wade. DB was a major target in '17 with depth concerns but we do already have 3 CB's in S. Wade, Riep and Williamson, plus Pryor at safety and likely Okudah. We could certainly just sit on that DB class and focus on other positions, but I just don't get the feeling that you could turn down L. Wade.

That being said, if it really came down to four spots, I would prefer bringing in Browning if we can get him...he might be the most talented player in the country quite frankly. I know LB is not a huge area of concern with previous classes and White/Simmons in this class, but Browning is just too good. And to be honest, we are just cherry picking the most talented players regardless of position at this point imo. We could call it a day with the class we have and it would probably the best class I have seen at OSU on paper since I have followed recruiting.

Of course the ever famous Urban NSD week surprise. I was thinking of adding that to my player list, but got so excited with the players that we have a very good shot at.
I was listening to a radio podcast(sorry, can't remember where) and the person being interviewed listed Trey Smith as someone that OSU still has a good shot at landing. Yet again showing, that this staff is always fighting for top talent when many think there's no way that kid can be obtained
