2024 tOSU Recruiting Discussion

Rando thought I’d the day: I really hope we land Micah Hudson; watched as much as I could find and that kid has ridiculous body control given his age and he’s so smooth off the line. He’s going to abuse corners in college imo.
It'd be nice. But I don't think he leaves Texas
Jeremiah McClellan will most likely be the last WR in the class

If I had to predict right now… almost time to start official visits edition

The Ohio State staff currently has the country’s No. 3 ranked 2024 recruiting class in the 247Sports Composite team recruiting rankings. The class currently has 11 commitments on the offensive side of the ball and two on the defensive side of the ball. So obviously the biggest focus from here on out when it comes to 2024 Buckeye recruiting will be on defense. So that is my focus today, 2024 recruits on the defensive side of the ball from the 247Sports Ohio State Top Targets in the database.

Today, I (i.e. Bill Kurelic) look at six defensive prospects that will be making official visits to Ohio State in June and give my predictions on where they're headed if I had to predict right now.

Need an elite OT, maybe another WR, and whole buncha DL guys. Maybe I'm naive, but I'm already counting both Ohio DBs. Doesn't look like tOSU is getting the #1 S, Eliano's nephew or not, as read he's 100% to GA. So maybe that's where the GA S flip is coming from? Don't really see any Keon Keeley's lining up to wear S&G, or any 4-5* DTs. Hope that turns around. No doubt schools are using Coach Johnson's imminent retirement (?) against us. Well, anyways, pretty sure Day & Co will put a good product on the field.

One thing about college football is that we can enjoy skill even when our staff can't land the player.

Meanwhile, OSU also made the cut for four-star Massachusetts 2024 offensive lineman Liam Andrews, who included the Buckeyes on his top eight along with Penn State, Wisconsin, LSU, Oklahoma, Miami, Florida and South Carolina.

Tonight, at Wapakoneta Middle School and Harmon Stadium theres a 7v7 showdown featuring Wapakoneta, Bellefontaine, Findlay and Shelby High Schools. the primary focus will be watching the quarterbacks as Tavien St. Clair and Ryan Montgomery lead their teams, so there should be some juicy updates this even or tomorrow

Four-star Texas offensive lineman Daniel Cruz spent his weekend taking his official visit to Ohio State and said he was blown away by both Frye and Ryan Day's attention to detail when the pair gave him their recruiting pitches.

“The main thing I took away from that trip was coach Frye and coach Day’s goals they have for me and have for the program,” Cruz told Eleven Warriors. “Just seeing how much coach Frye cares about things, after seeing some things I do really well in and seeing some things I do bad in, he told me he’s going to maximize my potential and help get me better. He told me he’ll develop me into a first-round or second-round pick. Then coach Day told me about his circle of care and how you fight to be the better version of yourself each day. Honestly, those were big takeaways from that trip.

“But honestly the whole trip was very fun and very energizing. The players were amazing, I connected really well with them and it felt like I’ve known them for years basically. My family loved the trip, overall it was really good.”
