tOSU vs Missouri, Goodyear Cotton Bowl, Friday Dec. 29, 8 ET on ESPN

Things have changed, it’s different it’s semi pro with no rules. Each program sets their own rules. The playing field is wide open. Old Alma mater is for graduates. The Buckeyes football team are not a college team like the fencing team. The name on the front of uniform has been marginalized.

I don't know that it's been marginalized but I agree that it should be looked at as a lower tier pro football league now. It has nothing to do with the Universities other than letting them use the name.

Once people come to grips with that new reality, hopefully it can help with frustration levels.

McCord leaving makes this a lot more interesting game. Let see the O ball…
Yeah it is more interesting for sure now that is essentially turning into a live game QB battle for 2024. After the end of the year and playing a meh opponent in the Cotton Bowl, I still have trouble getting very excited for this one. I will watch and of course want to see us beat an SEC school, but really the player development and one extra game film heading into next year is all that matters at this point. Hate to sound negative but when you have a championship caliber team (which we did) and not even have a shot at it in the CFP, it is hard to get excited for this one. Maybe if we were Iowa or Minnesota it would be great, but we're not. Excited to see Brown and Lincoln get their shot at QB.

I think it's strange how some folks are talking about this like it's the Spring game. There isn't even any hitting in the Spring game.
All I know is Katzenmoyer hit Corby Jones so hard a couple decades ago he rightly should get credit for a handful of tackles here in a couple weeks just for sitting on his couch.

Nope. It's a meaningless game. Can't wait until next year when every good team will be in a real playoff.
So be a fair weather fan and not support the team in every game. That's your choice. The rest of us will enjoy watching our beloved Buckeyes one last time before next September.
Unreal attitude.

There’s only 12-15 games every year and you aren’t going to watch because we lost one game…
