I'm more concerned with the defense. The Bucks have to defend the run much better than they did in Ann Arbor.

Oh definitely OSU's defense is a concern, but in order for it to be more forginving, the offense needs to make sure they can score. Against Michigan, they punted way too much. OSU needs to have a good air attack otherwise MSU will make it even worse.

Blitz for god's sake!! The defensive scheme against Michigan was absolutely terrible. The O can score on anybody and MSU's D will be a great test. Their O is mediocre but on the rise. Get pressure upfront and avoid big plays. tOSU beats MSU, they will play on Jan 6.

We blitzed a fair amount against TTUN actually. It just didn't work on multiple occasions. Fans keep calling for the blitz - and you got it a lot - but when it doesn't work, you make an already suspect back 7 reduced in number and even more susceptible to the pass.

Sparty's offense won't be anything OSU's defense can't handle. As far as Sparty's defense, let Braxton heave it when theres one on one coverage on the outsides. MSU corners struggle when they're in man to man defense. Hit some screens when MSU's defense is being aggressive, no problem.

The problem is, they are not the team they were when the Irish beat them. Now, I think MSU beats ND handily. They've improved considerably since that game, just like we've improved since the Iowa game. We should still be able to beat them though.

Yeah, Sparty's offense was a train wreck earlier in the season. At least now it's serviceable with Cook at QB. Fortunately, the Walrus is still calling the shots.

FWIW (next to nothing)

I've been playing NCAA Football (the vidya game) for nearly a decade now and this current roster of players, with the current difficulty/slider settings I play on results in pretty realistic results across the board, and according to my calculations Noah Spence should have at LEAST 20 sacks already, and Christian Hackenburg should've passed for nearly 400yds on us.

So... I'm no expert, BUT I think I know what I'm talking about when I call for the 7 man rush on every play. TYVM.
