Transgendered decathlete (formerly known as Bruce) Caitlyn Jenner

If it was just cosplay and you had the choice of humoring or indulging them in their delusion I'd be fine with that. However, when HR gets involved and you can be disciplined for not using their preferred pronouns or calling them by their birth name instead of their cosplay name, that's when I saw it's gone to far. We've had a few transgendered employees but they never last. We make them use the bathroom of their biological gender. Most of our employees are Mexican immigrants and they're still old fashioned like our parents were and don't know what to make of this freak show. They're always asking we way Americans are such jotos 1647986128971.jpg

Is this person bragging about intimidating a coworker on social media while holding a sword and identifying the employer?

Good luck with that.

Dubs' post was pretty much spot on, but the picture he posted wasn't the best example. You're right about this "cross dressing" guy taking it a bit too far...he'll be fairly lucky if he's still employed there after that.

Curious if anyone on BP sides with Lia Thomas? I don't understand how this topic (male --> female transgenders competing in female sports) could have enough backing for it to have been allowed to actually happen. One of the things I like about BP is you can generally get interesting perspectives on both sides of things (even when I feel very strongly one way or the other) and even hear the "other" side elaborate a little with where they're coming from. This topic seems so clearly one sided to me that even in today's "woke" world, it's pretty shocking that it happened in my IMO.

Anyone who sides with Lia has already drank too much kool aide from the cracked cup of Cultural Marxism and although we do have some leftists here I don't think any of them are THAT far gone (yet).

I think I'm more liberal that most Ohioans. I wouldn't want to do anything to prevent someone from living their best life as long as they don't harm others. I have no problem with Lia or her being who she wants to be, but competing in women's sports is harming all of the girls out there that dream of playing college sports. Maybe this is a one off and it won't be commonplace or abused by boys looking to extend their athletic careers, but it isn't fair to the girls that missed out on going to the NCAA or winning a race because someone that was a man a couple years ago decided he was a she. Between travel basketball and soccer we've had a few occasions of boys playing on the girls team so I feel this is a growing issue. That reminds me I need to teach her the nut tap before the tournament this weekend.

I think I agree. If you (not "you", exhawg, specifically, but "you", anyone, generically) were born with all the parts of a boy, and at whatever age you decide you're more comfortable claiming to be a girl, fine. Check the box that says "girl". Wear a dress and do all the "girl" things you want to do. And as a girl or a woman or whatever, you want to compete in sports, fine. But we, as a society, need to wake up and see that, even though it isn't politically correct to say this, males and females are different. Our bodies are different and our brains are wired differently. And while there's plenty of women out there who could kick my ass in plenty of physical tests, I'd probably do better against the field of women than I would against the field of men. So while I don't want to tell anyone to not live his/her (or whatever pronouns someone wants to claim) best life, I don't like the idea of taking fair contests and making them unfair.

The rules of swimming or running or any other race is simple: get from here to there as fast as you can. If we agree that men and women are different, we can all agree that men and women should be separated in these types of contests. If we're going to blur the lines in these contests, then maybe we should just combine them all, anyway. Imagine all the women who would happily not have a swim team or a basketball team or a soccer team because we decided that the men's and women's teams should be combined.

Here's a few more things to consider. The character of someone knowing that he has such a physical advantage over his competitors and going out there anyway, obviously dominating and then jumping through the mental hoops thinking that it's legit. The other thing is why don't we see it going the other way around? Yes I know, there was a girl a few years ago that took T and wrestled with boys and did pretty well but she had the advantage of taking performance enhancing drugs. I'll be convinced when I see a woman competing in the NBA or NFL. And no, that kicker chick from Vanderbilt is not a good example either.

I'm guessing everyone responding here are men that are 40 and older. You have no idea of what's coming down the pipeline. Gender fluid, pan-sexual, 4 genders...
This has been on my radar since the 90's. I remember back in like 1994 I was working remote and only coming to town once every 3-4 months for a week of R&R. I was on a bus and I saw this person who was obviously a female, buzz cut. wearing an army field jacket with a rainbow pin and facial piercings. I'd seen punk rockers as a kid growing up in LA but this seemed different. Maybe it was the pin, it was the first time I had ever wearing a badge that says "I'm gay" and I found it quite odd. I then noticed through just casual TV viewing that it was becoming more and more mainstream. I've watched it devolve until what it has become which is the very opposite of freedom and liberating. It's become a religion and those who speak out against heretics. I'm cool with people doing their own thing but when it starts being shoved down your throat to the point that if you make an offhand comment about it at work you could be getting a visit from HR. It's WAY out of hand and you're right, I can see it getting a thousand times worse as it is supported by some big money.
