Springfield (Ohio) High linebacker Trey DePriest is close to making a decision, and Alabama looks like his destination. DePriest has cancelled a trip to Florida for "Friday Night Lights" and never made an expected trip to Ohio State. Alabama linebacker coach Sal Sunseri is recruited DePriest and has done an amazing job with the out-of-state prospect.

Sounds like they're basing him going to Alabama on the fact that he canceled his trip to OSU?

It's probably best to just go with what they're saying on the BuckeyePlanet site then.

Agreed, and I'm not disputing the notion that tOSU has made up serious ground on that. In fact, that was my expectation all along. I guess I'm just a little weary of us bashing a site when their news doesn't fit our desire.

If he is going to OSU with his family I would take that as a VERY good sign at this point in the process. A final check in/make sure you're making the right choice etc. kind of thing.

If he just cancelled a trip here and Florida at the same time it would seem he has his mind made up he was going to bama...or he may have a scheduling conflict of some sort.

that's how I read it if there's any truth to any of these scenarios.

Ummm...hey Rivals, Trey's Ohio State visit is NEXT Friday.

And LBJ did not sign with Cleveland. Nobody is 100% correct all the time.

My only fear is that he is bringing his family to give OSU 1 more chance to sell him and if that does not happen he is off to Bama.

He also has to see that we lose Homan and Rolle this year.

From the 2010 class McVey from what I have heard he is more of a hybrid Ty Moeller type.....nothing wrong with that.....which means he could end up being a hybrid if he doesn`t add the weight.

Hagan was recruited as a safety. Durham is a hybrid DE, LB type and could end up with his hand in the dirt. There is the possibility than nobody from last years class ends up at as a full time LB. I would be happy with Trey and Price.

I am not sure if it is confirmed but I believe a new offer went out to Kent Turene a usc commit. Hope we can get Trey for this class. He and Grant would fill some big needs imho. Go Bucks

Ummmm...that doesn't make sense. Rivals said he never made his Ohio State visit as planned.....but his visit isnt until next Friday. Thus, my post.
