this weather sucks!
been raining for about 36 straights hours.

just a steady, non-stop, driving rain.
radar says this is still going to last a while.
I feel you ... we just got that stretch of rain... thankfully for us it was slow and steady about 6 in 36 hours... other areas got nearly a foot in the same time.

fortunately I'm in an area that drains really really well.

we are surrounded by water here (bayou to the west, marsh to the east, and wide open water to the west). all of the land slopes toward the water. we would have to get biblical proportions to worry me about my neighborhood ever flooding due to rain.

a little over 7" of rain so far today (supposed to continue until 2am pretty much non stop)

lots of street flooding just north of me. not sure if i'll be able to get to the office tomorrow.

LSU's campus is basically an island right now as damn near every street surrounding it is now closed due to flooding.

according to the rain gauge at the pump station about a mile from my house, we got 9.83" of rain from 2am Sunday to 5am this morning.

still have a few patches of rain passing through this morning, but expecting less than an inch today.

Not sure this is tropical but we're getting pounded this morning. 10inches of rain and counting since 6am this morning. Massive flooding in a lot of places... this is on top of all the rain we got last weekend.
