I wonder if tcun will make a run at Steve Alford if he has a good run in the tournament with Reno. Granted, his ceiling seems to be at the mid-major level, and he flamed out at both big time jobs he had. Still, I think they just might be stupid enough to do this.

Too soon old, too late smart
When saw the article, was wondering if a poll would be taken (who'd you rather have Diebs or May). As to that, we'll see how well May helps Xichigan rebound (from the 2024 debacle) and Diebs does the same with tOSU. So far, I very much approve what I see from our BasketBucks, in terms of D and 2nd half let-downs. Last night, thought this let-down might occur once again, but for whatever reason, players reaching inside, great coaching, or ?, it didn't happen. May appears to be a talent, for certain, and we had that opportunity. Still, I'm liking what I'm seeing. Now, finish with a NIT title, and gather in the top Ohioans into the Buckeye fold, and I'm a happy camper.

I think May is probably a “good” coach but he’s not a great one. He had the final 4 run last year where everything kinda fell easy in place for him but this year he fizzled out with a so called loaded returning team.

I am gonna say they'll fire him (or he leaves under some pressure) within 5 years. He had some outstanding players this season & a team that had the talent to beat Arizona, but lost a handful of games against lesser teams. Alijah Martin & Johnell Davis is a better guard duo than he's gonna have at any point at UM - those guys are elite shot makers.
