Outside of a year-old CB for top-100 TE prospect Oscar Delp (a Blue Sam Special), here are the only uncommitted recruits for the Class of 2022 who have a CB to Michigan:

DL Deone Walker (.8950 rating; #326 overall prospect)
ATH Deuce Spurlock (.8416 rating; #1215 overall prospect)

Two guys. That's the list.

Michigan is literally a Will Johnson decommitment away from having a G5 recruiting class:

Recruit average with Johnson: 88.70 (meh)
Recruit average w/o Johnson: 87.95 (lol)
Holy s**t, you beat me to it. GPA

Their savior is regressing to hold the rope levels of recruiting. If I told you that you could pick up the record needle and start playing the album all over again starting with the RichRod era, would you go for it?

I mean… there is that one loss in there… so it’s not 100% clear to me that I’d risk it.

I honestly think their fanbase would still pick Hairball over RichRod

Valenti on Friday was calling out their approach to NIL as bizarre with how much they’re dragging their feet and/or just not embracing it. Having arguably your top athlete publicly saying this has to have an impact:

"We talk about that kind of stuff, seeing what we can and can't do," Dickinson said, referring to him, Eli Brooks, Jace Howard and Adrien Nuñez as the team's more involved athletes when it comes to NIL. "Michigan's not the most free of the universities, they're kind of being a little restrictive of what we can and can't do. We can't use the Block 'M' for some reason. You'd think if you play for the university and make money for them, they would at least let you use their logo and stuff. But they're being hard right now, they're trying to be like the NCAA and hold us back a little bit.“

Well, yeah... but guarantee they use this going forward.
I’m pretty sure they’re using sucking at applying NIL as proof they never cheated previously as well. Which, of course, ignores several high profile examples of documented cheating in the Fab 5 and Woodson.

Im sure they stopped cheating right when the sucking started.
