Shea Patterson is returning to Michigan and the loss to Ohio State is a big reason why. "I would never end my career with an opportunity to come back with a loss to that team."

Could I have another "L" Pat?

Henne, Wolverines are hungry
Wilson grad Chad Henne returns to Michigan for his final season with other senior standouts with their sights set on a win over Ohio State and a bowl victory, something they have yet to accomplish.

Even though they have won a Big Ten title and played in two Rose Bowl games, Michigan’s seniors are hungry.

Chad Henne, Mike Hart and Jake Long might rank among the finest players at their positions in the country and in school history, but they have an empty feeling in their stomachs.

They have yet to beat Ohio State or win a bowl game, two of the chief reasons why they decided to return to Michigan for their senior seasons.

“We’re reminded of it every day,” said Henne, the former Wilson standout. “You see it around campus and at home. There’s nothing you can do about it. We have one more chance left and we’re going to try to make the most of it.”

With their potentially explosive offense, the Wolverines are widely considered to be the favorites to win the Big Ten championship this season.

Re: Regardless of a draft grade, whatever the case may be, I would never end my career with an opportunity to come back with a loss to that team.
Which I'm sure he knows wouldn't be all that high.....:slappy:

The term "glutton for punishment", moron, and/or just loser applies to Patterson here.

It's tough when your team is # 4, you're thinking "NFL Draft" and your #1 "overall defense" gives up 62 and all of a sudden you can't walk on water, turn water to wine, or raise a program back from the dead. Sheeee ettt! now I gotta take another year of getting my ass drilled by those guys with the silver helmets.

Patterson came into this season expecting to be a 1 year wonder and was among the top 5 QB's in the 2019 draft. Some mock drafts had him as the first QB selected. One season with Hairball and he's a 2nd day pick. He had to come back to reverse the trend. It may work because the offense will be on his shoulders as they are losing their workhorse RB. But they still have issues at LT and the defense will have considerable less talented with paper thin depth, so he will not get as many short fields. It would be funny if the QB whisper turned a 5 star, first round pick into an undrafted free agent.

I have been traveling a lot this week and when I finally got home last night I dropped into bed last night and was asleep by 9. As I seem to always sleep just 7 hours (no more and no less), I found myself up at 4 this morning with my first "me time" in the last week (my wife never gets up before 9) . I have used this time to read catch up on all the stories on recruiting and Justin Fields. The last hour, I have started to wander to other teams sites. Unfortuneately this last activity has left me in need of a reality check (as in, did I wake up this morning in an alternate reality?). You see several sites all dedicated to a particular team (noted for dumb fans), have all sorts of articles and posts about how they have just signed the best recruiting class in the Big 10 for the first time since 2005. These sites and these fans are beside themselves slapping each other on the back and proclaiming their coming dominance of the Big 10.

So if some could let me know if there are 2 signing dates in this reality, one in December and another in February (as opposed to the one in December this fan base seems to believe in) and the mythical winner of any sort competition for the best recruiting class will consider the recruits signed on both dates, I would appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.
