247Sports ranking: 4-star | 94 rating | No. 16 overall
Recruitment status: Uncommitted
High School: Conroe (Texas)
Measurables: 6-2, 185
Scouting Report: Good-sized corner prospect. Looks to have a thicker build through the mid-line. Primarily plays press-man and off-man coverages. Noticeably physical and will lower the shoulder to make open-field stops, which suggest boundary role potential, although will need to get better disengaging from blocks. Pretty sticky in coverage, especially on the underneath stuff. — Director of Scouting Andrew Ivins
Notes: There is a strong change Ohio State lands three of the top four cornerbacks in the 2025 recruiting class as Jim Knowles and the Buckeyes continue to land elite defensive talent. Conroe (Texas) cornerback Dorian Brew has three Crystal Ball Predictions favoring Ohio State. Other top programs in the mix include Michigan, Texas and Texas A&M. Brew has a close connection to Ohio State, where his mom is a member of the Ohio State Athletics Hall of Fame as a sprinter.

Would imagine that Walton is giving Brew the old "you can play wherever you want to". Giving that the difference between the #s 1-10 CBs are hangnail thin, it might appeal. Difference will be upstairs, in head and heart, and work ethic. CBs get the most NFL $, but safeties don't do badly, and with the NFL pass first tendencies, get plenty of 'passes defended' as well as blitzing opportunities. Am hoping he brings his immense talents to C'bus and that tOSU can hang onto all of these great back 4-5 defenders. Go Bucks!

I think it will be interesting to see how Brew grows, because he's already a big kid, and it just seems like he will outgrow CB. A versatile S can earn a great paycheck as well, especially ones with size that can cover the large amount of versatile TEs in the NFL.

There's some smoke to Brew leaning away from OSU. Its being floated that he's starting to favor Texas, LSU and... scUM! He wants to play early, and doesn't see a clear path at OSU with so much talent on the roster at DB and how much talent that is favored to sign in '25(like I've been saying, this '25 class is going to be a MONSTER, and some very talented guys won't make it in). And for this thinking he's an OH kid with a mom that's an OSU HOFer, you're forgetting that he has a father who's an LSU alum, and he's living close to LSU now.
Idk what to believe, other than OSU still has time to make up ground and get back into this(if in fact they are now seen in the outside). He's visiting this summer if not sooner. And the rumors of him wanting to play offense are false, he sees himself as a DB, CB or S.

Could very well be. Not seeing a clear path to PT, aka lots of competition, plus all the attention being paid him by what, Tejas and LSU? Gotta turn a young man's head. Both of those places are good football schools, and in these new days of NIL, could be making the difference. Guess we'll see how much time the Buckeye staff spends wooing him, or whether they 'drift apart' because tOSU believes they're set. For a lot of these recruits, who've been 'the man' since peewee football, PT is NOT running down the field on kick-offs, when realistically they're looking at a three-year stay at a university. Guess we'll just have to stay tuned. Thanks for all you do, pnuts
