UEFA Champions League (Official Thread)

Finished 0-0 as Chelsea would've liked, but not without consequences as Peter Cech & John Terry had be replaced because of injuries.

Starting XI's:

Real Madrid: Casillas, Pepe, Ramos, Coentrão, Ronaldo, Benzema, Alonso, Carvajal, Modric, Di María & Isco.

Bayern Munich: Neuer, Dante, Ribéry, Mandzukić, Robben, Rafinha, Boateng, Lahm, Alaba, Schweinsteiger & Kroos.

I believe Bale has a stomach virus which is why he isn't starting.

Madrid strike first on a great counter. They seem content letting Bayern have the ball & burning them on the break which they have on a few occasions.

1-0 Madrid at the half. Bayern dominating possession, but with virtually nothing to show for it. Madrid creating the better chances on the counter, but then again they do know a thing or two about defending & playing on the break with all of their encounters with Barcelona in recent years.

1st leg finishes 1-0 Real Madrid. They could've added a second or more but failed to capitalize on some good chances. Madrid fared much better in the 2nd half, but were susceptible on a few occasions although nothing too great. Probably the most visibly upset I've ever seen Pep on the sidelines. Going to be a monumental 2nd leg in Munich come Tuesday.
