What Do You Cheer For?

School or Division?

During the bowl season, do you cheer for schools, or for conferences? For example, for the Alamo Bowl (Nebraska, Michigan), who do you cheer for? For me, I cheer for Michigan no matter how much I hate them. In my opinion, I'd rather see the Big Ten win over Michigan losing their bowl game...

I really don't decide who to cheer for until I get into the game, unless it is someone like USC, who I now hate. I even root for scUM occasionally in the bowl games if it makes the Big 10 look good. I hope Bobby Bowden kicks Joe Pa's ass in the Orange Bowl this year-conference or not-I have developed a reinvigorated distaste for the Nits.

I'll always root for the Big-10...with the exception of scUM. I cannot under any circumstances (unless it would help tOSU significantly) bring myself to route for those bastards.

Big-10. As far as scUM is concerned... it's like cheering the dentist doing your root canal. You want him to do well, but still expect it to be painful, and it's just a relief when it's over and done.

man, i try to root for scUM. i really do. but then they always do something stupid, and LLLoyd starts making a complete ass out of himself over some minescule bullshit, and i find myself becoming a cynical heckler and just shouting YOU SUCK!!! at the TV a lot...
