What is your exercise routine?

Thanks for the compliment. It is solid work, but I really had let myself go. I was over 300, and at 6'1" with a very large frame I carried it well.

I'm still cruising at 55 pounds, no leveling off yet. I'm counting calories with Noom and that is driving all of my food choices. Really it isn't that difficult- knowing that I most likely was going to die if I stayed over three bills was all the motivation I needed. That and the desire to sleep with women.

Food choices, both in terms of what and how much, is huge. Don’t drink during the week and use your hand for proportion sizing. If it doesn’t fit in the palm of your hand, it’s too much. I am personally most successful when cutting carbs way back. High protein and very low carb can be boring but better than pushing daisies. Keep grinding!

Anyone play pickle ball? Seems to be the hot thing right now. I have a couple of buddies that play that want me to get in on it. They say it’s good exercise, but it doesn’t look like it. I played Tennis and Racquetball and those are.

Update: Wife sends text message to the family today saying that the IHSAA has opened up HS sports again and tennis practice (younger son) will start April 4. Follows with a message about asking other kids at tourney tonight about who has memberships to our tennis club.

I ask kiddo 2 what tourney.

His response: Pickle ball.

:smh:

Squash is the answer you were looking for. I learned at Ohio State (one of those 1 credit, didn't count towards your degree classes), and I never looked back. In racquetball, the ball is so superball bouncy it comes to you. In squash, the ball is deader than fried chicken, and you have to go to it. Squash will kick the living shit out of your racquetball playing ass.

....in a good way.

I rush forward, imitate an attacking bear, run into the office, run into the bedroom, hide in the bathroom, run around the kitchen island, hide in a closet, rush forward and backward and jump side to side, and flail around a 20 lb. grocery bag while shouting, "Swingies! Swingies!"

Sometimes the cats even join me.
Anything is possible with catnip....

Anyone have a fitbit, and if so, what's your experience been? I started wearing one a month ago. Today, while working the jump ropes, I decided to compare the heart rate that it showed with that given by the blood ox monitor that I bought when the COVID hit. The fitbit was registering around 30 to 40 beats/minute too low. And the fact that I was using the 2lb rope and my body was pretty much screaming that I was in a high cardio range, I believe the blood ox meter was the accurate of the two.

Had one a couple of years ago. It was garbage for accuracy. I do think the Apple Watch, give other things that I’ve calibrated against, is far more accurate.

But that said, the Fitbit underestimating your workout will be more than made up for with the amount of jacking off you do. So, there’s that.

My wife has a fitbit and she loves it. On the other hand, she's never tried to calibrate it. She isn't as interested in accuracy of the information, but does like the accountability that comes with it. She doesn't care if she really went 10,238 steps, the fact that she went about 10,238 steps is enough for her.
