In 2004 NCST was 1-0 coming into the OSU game. They beat 1-AA Richmond the week before. NCST lost to WF in 2003 before losing to OSU in the Shoe the following week.

Thanks for the correction, L-Rod - I crossed my wires on that one. I have corrected the post above to be a valid historical list. BTW, to be completely accurate, the Richmond game was actually 2 weeks before we played NC St. in 2004.

N.C. State was a 1-1 #24 team when we beat them in Raleigh in 2004. They had lost to Wake Forest the week before, or they would have been ranked in the top-15
