Which forwards are most likely to play "starter minutes" next season?

Jallow, Sueing, Liddell, Towns, Young, Ahrens, Key, Brown... take your pick of 3.

Some people think we are playing primarily 3-guard next season but I can't see it with our quality depth strength at forward and only 3 guards total on the roster (though that is subject to change if they take a grad transfer guard).

This is a tough call between some of the forwards. I think I am leaning Sueing, Liddell, Young but not sure if that's enough shooting/scoring (have to play Washington at SG with that group). Towns might play the vast majority of whatever minutes at 3-4 that Sueing and Liddell don't, but I don't want to discount what 4th-year Jallow could bring to the equation.

I am higher on Brown than most but kind of hard to see how he is going to get on the court now his first two seasons. Maybe we find backcourt minutes for him somehow because I would hate him to be another "we hardly knew ye" situation. I think with some refinement his combination of athleticism, length, and shooting will eventually result in a special player.

I think Kyle will play the 5 quite a bit, probably start there. If OSU doesn't add another frontcourt player, they are going to have to rotate Young, Diallo, Key and Liddell at the 5. EJ, Key and Diallo are going to be backups.

So your question is really who starts at the 3-4 spots. Sueing is my guess to start at the 4. The 3 is tricky. Muhammad could even start there, but the 2 is more likely for him. It may come down to Jallow and Towns for the 3, and that decision might be based on creating the best blend of offense/defense for the starters and bench. I think they will go with a starting lineup of Walker-Muhammad-Towns-Sueing-Young. Duane, EJ and Jallow may be the top reserves unless they add a guy or one of the freshmen proves too good to keep off the court.

Young at the 4, Diallo at the 5 (for the tip and a few minutes), Towns/Sueing/Jallow at the 3 (two of them are coming off injuries), Washington at the 2, with CJ at point (1). First sub off the bench is Liddell for Diallo after a couple of trips down the court. Not sure when Muhammad comes in (or for whom), and then maybe a third of the way through the half, the threes start switching up. I'm getting the impression that BPers are all thinking that Kaleb is gone......anyway, tOSU returns a lot of talent. Scoring firepower is still in question (at least consistency), but am sure it'll develop. Predict a good run in the 2021 dance, maybe Final Four. Go Bucks!

I think EJ is gonna make a step up as a soph. As much as I understand projections that put him in a back-up role behind Sueing and Towns, I hope reality is kinder to him. Otherwise he probably headed out of here, which I would HATE to see (especially since the Illini would be a prime landing spot for him).
